Re: Tottenham 2011/12

I think soon enough the "top 4" will become a top 5 and i'm sure given enough time Uefa will increase the champions league spot allocations to the Premier League, the League as a whole becoming better every year. Like most people have been saying for nearly a year now, the striking department is the ...

Anyone who watched the game, what'd you think of Sandro? I rekon he's gonna be a quality player, he was huge in both legs constantly tackling, he just found a way to get the ball every time.

Re: Blackpool v Spurs

Smashed them with attempts on goal...at one point it was atleast 4 shots for blackpool and 20 for Spurs...definetly one of those days, the ball just won't go in and the keeper is making crazy saves. So many dead set goals on other days just couldnt get it over the line, Defoe in form would have put ...

Darren Bent

Most over priced and overrated player in the last few years, £16m to Spurs was stupid, and now Villa have paid £24? How is it that he can command such transfer fee's, it's fkn stupid. But goodluck to Villa i guess, Bent isn't a bad goal scorer but the prices paid for him are so inflated. Kinda glad t ...

Should be a massive game, don't expect anything from it, would be happy with a draw. A win would be excellent though after losing to Everton!

Re: 17 YEARS AND WORTH THE WAIT

If you see an Arsenal fan with a dog, please ask them to call 0800 0-2 2-1 2-2 2-3 for free advice on how to hold on to a lead. Hahaha I'll give it to ya we have been using that one for the past 17 years hahaha how many times in those 17 years have Tottenham had a leader over Arsenal? Alot of ...

wow bale but one thing why doesnt he seem to perform as well in the EPL? Tail end of last year he was exceptional and has played OK this season, but I think PL defenders are more aware of him and close him down quicker. Once he gets into his stride he's hard to stop. Harry also thinks that maybe ...

Bale made Maicon and Lucio look like Erik Edman for an entire game. That is a Tottenham team built for Europe.

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

The referee never signalled that it was advantage! He signalled that there was no penalty then just ran back. If the player doesn't know what the hell is going on and that happens as a Ref its then on you for not communicating the decision correctly and therefore should have been taken as a free ...

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

Colossus has it spot on, how it went from supposedly our advantage to the back of the net is stupid, if it was indeed our advantage then he should have as i said earlier, dissalowed the goal and made it a free kick. The worst advantage of all time, nothing gained and a goal conceded, i'm sure thats ...

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

It's the referees job to TAKE CHARGE of the game and implement the rules of the game in a manner which represents the sporting manner of the game. In order to do so it is necessary to communicate with the players at all times, especially in situations like this one where obviously no-one had any ...

No he didn't.
If he signalled and comunicated to the players what was going on Gomes wouldn't have thought he had a free kick. The Linesman said it was handball, so why did the ref overrule him when a blatant infringment had occured before the goal!

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

Yes Gomes shud have played the whistle but at the end of the day, the referee caused this situation by not letting th players know what the fuck was going on, he put the advantage rule to a whole new level by just walking away, not really signalling or doing anything!

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

Ferdinand said on his Twitter that he just went up to the ref to clarify that no whistle had been blown, he rekons that the Lino flagged for the handball but for whatever reason Clattenburg overruled him and allowed the goal. So yes, the incident should never have happened because the dumb ref shud ...

Re: Unsporting Man Utd...

At the end of the day, the referee didn make it clear, Nani's handball was obvious and most of us in Gomes position would have done the same. The Assistant put his flag up for god knows what, if he indeed said that Nani had handballed it then why ClattenCnut allowed the goal is beyond me.

Re: Inter Vs Spurs

As dissapointing as the first 50 odd minutes were, the comeback was great but i feel it just covered the cracks a bit and not much focus is being put on how poor/outclassed we were even in the 8/9 mins before the send off, then it was all over once Gomes went. However, we showed good character kept ...

Decent result for Spurs away at Bremen, can feel a bit annoyed coz we threw away a 2-0 lead but on the balance of things i'll take that point definetly. Good that Inter and Twente drew aswell, everyone stays on level pegging for now..
