Valencia suffers horror injury

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed Antonio Valencia had suffered a suspected dislocation and fracture of his ankle during the Champions League draw against Rangers.

The winger was carried off on a stretcher with an ankle injury after an innocuous-looking sliding challenge from Kirk Broadfoot in the second half of the goalless draw at Old Trafford.

Ferguson told Sky Sports: "He has gone to hospital. It looks as if it is a dislocation and a fracture.

"It's a bad one, it will keep him out for a long time. He seemed to dig his toe in the turf."
the incident didn't look that bad but has obviously done some terrible damage
hope he has a speedy recovery, a bad player to lose through injury for United

Should have been 10-1, I feel like Messi and Xavi are relied on heavily though, would be interesting to see who fills in those gaps when they're gone. They'll NEED Fab soon, biscuits isn't good enough.

Awful, awful injury to Valencia. I felt pretty off when I saw it.

Rangers practically choked the penalty box and gave them no real chances to shoot, either. Wasn't a good day at Old Trafford.

When Messi's gone? What, in 15 years time?

Does Panathinaikos even have any Greek players?

Those were my first thoughts. And I'm pretty sure it was the same thought everyone at the stadium was having at the time, too.

Decent result for Spurs away at Bremen, can feel a bit annoyed coz we threw away a 2-0 lead but on the balance of things i'll take that point definetly. Good that Inter and Twente drew aswell, everyone stays on level pegging for now..

A good day considering how hard it is to play away in Europe. Undecided on the other game, are Twente better then expected or Inter alot poorer? Probably the latter.

I was more referring to the aging Xavi, who has to play so many games.

Lol, Their keeper maybe?

Govou took that really well also. The Messi goal with the 2 one-two's was like watching FIFA 10.

That in itself is unusual enough. It's one team, and one team only. None of this multiple teams bullshit.

Ok I will take the bait...

Well as we are in the Europa comp this year I would guess we have not played yet... For a team with 4 titles to their name you sure are a cocky little prick... I can almost take the crap from Man U fans as they have equalled the 18 titles but I am not going to take it from the Cash Cows of the South ....
