Limnos have the Div 2 Spot, and the Ground, and perhaps some players.

Asteras have the players but more importantly they have the fundamentals of any football team, A Committee.

It would work, and yes it is likely!

Interesting. Limnos has always being a good club and one I have enjoyed playing against. The biggest problem for them was the lack of supporters. It seemed to be the players having to do everything.

Good Luck to them if they do.

The rumour was that Limnos were going to move to the Saturday league.
If they do merge, what day will they be playing on.
And if by chance an honest man such as yourself should make enemies then they would become my enemies, and then they would fear you

@ Chris.
I know the players at your club and at asteras are quite close and have played together before, but they are independent clubs. Would have thought both clubs are doing OK? Surely Asteras & Raptors won't look to merge?

Limnos isn't looking for a merger, They club is probably looking to pass on its position in DIV 2 and Ground Facilities, but the doc and the devil are the ones to call that.

@frappe, i was just stirring the pot. some players are very close between our clubs, and we would love to play with each other again....we might even play football 2...lol

big call down at limnos, and quite emotional i would imagine.

Don't you love rumours... I can confirm that no merger has taken place with Limnos and Asteras.

thats right. no merger has taken place I never did say that, U/C did which is incorrect.

Like I posted, Limnos is looking to pass on its position in DIV 2 and Ground Facilities to another club which will probably be Asteras.

If they do make the offer and Asteras accept, good luck to them!

if a merger is created then wouldnt it be a whole new club? and then wouldnt they have to start off in div5??

thats what happened with northern united, a merger was done with the eastern park wolves so a new club was created and we had to start off at div5

Eastern park were in div 5 anyway were'nt they? Clubs have merged in the past and stayed in which ever division they were in before the merge.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Grange... too far.

Asteras will have two home grounds and four teams next year, Saturday and Sunday teams.

One based on Greenhill Road, called Adelaide Limnos

and another based at Cheltenham called Asterays

GO ASTERAS!

Clubs that merge can stay in the higher division as long as the new club that evolves from the merger has parts of both original clubs names e.g. if aAdelaide were to merge with Melbourne in the A-League "Adelaide Victory"

LFTWNG11 was still playing for Athelstone when we played at your ground for the first time last season and his antics saw him being the target of some of your supporters... I must admit some of the comments your guys directed at him were pretty funny!

He scored in the one he played, which was the second of three league games, he had left the club by the time the third league game came round.

I think I know which skinhead guy you are talking about. I would disassociate myself from him too if he came to our games... lol He was there for our games. I don't think he can handle his booze
