Creating chances and stopping teams from creating chances is playing well ..

which is all well and good.
but they must have stopped some chances so they must have played relatively well, otherwise you would've thumped them.
as gubs said, getting used to new players in a team can have an impact, so under circumstances i would say that 2-0 to "the best team on paper" in the first round of the competition probably shows a good effort.

i never said you werent a new team.
but in fairness, the girls you recruited have played with most of you before.
amy and loz have played with most of your girls before, either thru sasi or state teams, and greta, having played in sasi has also come up in teams with a lot of your girls as well.
and that fact cant be denied.

im not trying to kill your opinion, i just think that people need to be a bit more open minded and realise that not all clubs can field a winning team every year. who cares if fulham have lost a few games. let it go. they're not on here bitching about it so why do other people have to keep referring to fulhams loss to campbelltown.

fair sure C'town have recruited and have a good team this year, ppl should give em the credit they deserve. if they win, why cant it be because they played well, instead of other teams playing badly.??

so why does everyones opinion have to be focussed negatively on fulham, and not accept that campbelltown have gotten some new players and are fielding are stronger team this year.

i know its a website for people to voice their opinions, i just didnt realise the views on womens soccer teams only had to be negative.

reason 1
most coaches at any level of football will argue that rivalrys are crucial and add lots to football.

being a sturt fan, fulham are our rivals...so thats why i give them a hard time

reason 2
fulham always talk about how many years in a row they won...its any wonder people will have a giggle when they turn to jobby

reason 3

its a pity sturt have never been fulhams rivals

we have never gloated about our success. we are proud of what our club has achieved. we only ever mention our success when proving a point...we never said we were the best team going round

I have to admit, Fulham have been very graceful winners in the past four years :)

so leps doesn't think fulham played well against metro. oh well. clearly if fulham didn't play well metro must have not played well either to be 'the best team on paper' and playing against new team fulham and only beating them 2-0...

tattz is right, metro recruited some players, but, yes they have all played together before.

i think simply put, fulham have started out slowly. i don't think that means we need to continue baggin on them, considering, they, unlike some teams, are very good sports. yes, when they won four in a row, they mentioned it, but seriously, four wins in a row, something to be proud of, but they did not take it too far. so why is everyone picking on them now?

now, by saying, omg that team played poorly. that does not give credit to the winning team. even if a team plays poorly, the other team needs to play reasonably well to put away the chances that they get, and keep out the chances that the other team presents.

why does this forum always have to bag on one team? tattz is right, why is all the opinions on the forum negative?

The fact of the matter here is not about wank wank wank rather.....why (after a couple of weeks) the team lists are no longer in the paper. Mate even the f'en junior boys get in there.

Fact: No one give a toss about the game and that is DISGRACEFUL!

Fact: Fulham have lost/drawn games they usually lap up = something's obviously not right over there. Who's runniong the team? Coach or players. Maybe theer's an issue.

C'town winning? Isn't that what's supposed to happen? Well done.

firstly, I play football.

secondly, I watch football everyweek...both from overseas on the telly and womens games on sundays(or auwfc). where do you get the idea someone needs to physically play womens football to have an opinion of it? there are songs you don't like, yet you're not in a band, but you still have an opinion...how is this any different?

seeing as I do actually care enough about your sport to spend time discussing it on line AND actually paying to see it (w-league) I think I have a fair enough right to my opinion...especially when my opinion is always spot on and funny...

firstly.
an opinion can never be "spot on".
an opinion is just what you think. we dont like it, we give you our opinion.
and shortys question was do you even play football.
we didnt need a life story as to you watching football, both overseas and the womens games here on sunday.

she didnt say you werent entitled to an opinion, she simply said you had too much to say on the matter of womens soccer, of which you made quite clear you are spectator.

i personally think your opinions are all pretty much the same. you dont like fulham. we get that. why dont you try showing some support for womens soccer in general instead of bagging one of the few teams that are actually good sports. so they lose a few games. big deal.

lets remember that sturt werent always on top.

against adelaide city on sunday there were two players (the harrison sisters) who were part of the '08 Fulham prems team....thats it. the rest have either come up from reserves or come from different clubs. it takes time to gel and considering all that i dont think our results have been too bad this season. anyways im done talking about this. no other team has to ever justify their performances on here so why should we. It doesnt mean that there is trouble, it means that the core group were around for a very long time and some have moved to different clubs for a new challenge....some arent playing at all anymore. Therefore a whole new bunch of players are now playing together...i dont think one should expect the same results of a team thats only been together for the best part of 5 or 6 weeks as compared to what Fulham United have achieved in the past

well said Gubs.
you shouldnt have to justify your performances. we all should know what its like to have a new team to get used to playing with.

and you've got people willing to stick up for you, even from opposing teams :)

shortys question? if that was seriously anything other than a sarcastic question she thought she already knew the answer too then im honestly sorry for piking up.

i was happy discussing a topic with the majority of everyone else...exchaning opinions like this website is for...when she blurts in with an ill-thought personal attack. how am I the bad guy?

if you don't like the satire, then satirize back at me..lighten up!

im not saying she was justified in calling you a wank. & i never referred to you as the bad guy. im just saying, that if you really support womens football, you'll ease up on purely badmouthing fulham and their "poor performance"

if you really support womens football you'd give campbelltown the credit they deserve.

all im saying, without asking you to give up your loyalty to sturt, i mean, heck we all have our favourite teams, just ease up on some of the directed negitivity.

or do you just enjoy pissing certain people from certain teams off?

tattz is right. on both how your opinion can't be spot on. because opinions are neutral, neither right nor wrong
and seriously, we do not have enough support for our competition as it is, to be bagging it ourselves.
positive opinions would be just great kthanks.

so if we're finished discussing how fulham have not been playing poorly, they've just got a completely new team and are still adjusting can we move on to something, oh, i dont know, positive about the league?
