Sadly other than England , India and Australia there appears decline in the appeal and interest in test cricket. Looks like we are in for an endless number of 20/20 tournaments where hired guns travel from one franchise to the next.

Same old aussie, always cheating.
Who would have thought that, being we are in Australia.Trần Lệ Xuân wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 4:23 am Australia win and all of a sudden everyone in here very vocal.

Loved Ponting making KP look a right old numpty when discussing Joe Root.
Why the press (both countries) are slamming Stokes and bazball yet in same breath saying how great it is for cricket etc. is mind-boggling. Yes Australia won............this time..........and whilst there will be some pressure on the home side in the next test, they will be damned if they do and damned if they don't continue with similar game plan and fall slightly short again.

KP was right. Cummins was having to make reactive field reactive changes just to contain Root. The number one batsmen in the world was running the game.
Sobbing? Steve smith?
So to rule a game you have to be NOT OUT? All cricketers have got out, even the number 1 batsmen in the world.Just Dave now wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 11:06 amand he got out so ponting was right , who won ? why would smith be sobbing , he would probably have a hangover from the celebratingGod is an Englishman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 10:09 amBomber wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 9:50 am Couple of reflections now the dust has settled.

Forcing the opposing captain to change the field does not make him to be 'dominating' or 'bossing' the game like KP claimed.God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 10:09 amBomber wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 9:50 am Couple of reflections now the dust has settled.

I disagree. Making them change their game plan is a great advantage.Frank Costanza wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 12:03 pmForcing the opposing captain to change the field does not make him to be 'dominating' or 'bossing' the game like KP claimed.God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 10:09 amBomber wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 9:50 am Couple of reflections now the dust has settled.

Him getting out recklessly actually changed the entire trajectory of the 4th day.
That's my issue with Bazball at the moment - concept is very good but when it turns into needlessly, reckless batting it looks quite stupid
