Re: Revamp of comp - 2025
I have never been a fan of trials but I do understand why clubs need them. But I have heard a club calling a parent whose kid made it at another club and paid their deposit to come over to their club, even offered the parent to reimburse them the deposit.!! WOW, for juniors!!! We lost two players ...

Re: Revamp of comp - 2025
As far as I know at Metrostars everyone pays a deposit to trial to stop time wasters rolling up. If you miss the cut, deposit is then refunded. Those that make it have their deposit credited against their fees. Incorrect. No deposit needed to trial. You pay a deposit once you are selected after the ...

Re: Revamp of comp - 2025
They are lying to you. That’s the official trial handout provided to everyone who registered.
Not sure how much more official document you would want.
Or maybe it’s easier to just bash clubs with false information as usual.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 If you say so… it’s 2.5k plus kit too 🤣 I guess you cant read :clown: :clown: For the U12-17 players, that equates to $8 per hour, but if you take out all the items like kit, referee fees, club fees, ground hire, operational costs etc, its likely be to $2-3 per hour for just the training sessio ...

At least we know who this person is now that he has mentioned Danny by name and target just him, because we all know the one person who had an issue. Anyways, things have been great so far this preseason, the club continues to go up and up, and no longer have those people who just whinged and ...

Re: What is happening at Metrostars
Im happy to see the back of some people, who decided to leave, bag the club, but yet were happy taking lots of money to be development coaches etc at the club over the years. The club will be fine, and going into a direction of younger players in U18s and Reserves is the best step right now. Your ...

Re: Junior fees.
In the local league forum, someone posted that junior fees for under 6 are $1035. It was posted in a topic concerning metrostars players re-signing. I guess this is what metro charges? As a matter of interest, on average, what to other clubs charge? When people like yourself gazza stopped ...

MetroStars To Enter Teams In SAASL
The MetroStars family will grow larger in 2020 as the club announces it will enter two teams in next year's South Australian Amateur Soccer League. MetroStars President Rob Rende first made the announcement at the club's Senior Presentation night. To support continued growth in demand for senior ...

Re: I am not going to play football anymore
Unfortunate for players who wished to stay at Metros but will now need to find new clubs unless they make the PL team. I guess Metrostars is trying to manage space and resources, and maybe decided to focus efforts on top level players. There will be a revenue loss if say 45 players leave but maybe ...

Re: Season length 2013
There would only be maybe a dozen clubs who have access to their ground more than 10 months a year.
Then you have all the postponed fixtures. It would be a nightmare.
The best players are already training and playing with development and state squads.
