A big congratulations to Alex for being selected again in the Matildas squad for the up coming tournament o/s. This is thoroughly deserved and she is a great role model for junior girls in SA. She certainly is a brilliant player but it is obvious that she has 100% commitment on and off the field that has helped realise her achievements at the highest level.

Couldn't agree more. Opportunity came knocking and she's accepted the baton and is running at 100%. She is a decent person and a excellent role model. I think most of the players in the local WNPL are excellent role models. For the love of the game no doubt.

BTW is a career as a Matilda and playing in WNL and W League a sustainable career financially? I recalled a few years back the Matilda players were getting barely $200/day when away?
