Awards

Post by BlueForever »

I may be the only one to say this but I don't think that the correct decision was made last night regarding the womens prem coach award. How did say Marie from Metro not get an award for her efforts this year with 2 major trophies to her name. This being only her second year in charge and before it is asked I have no affiliation with Metro .
Jonathon may be a good coach, but please given the results from all FFSA teams over the past few seasons I dont see there choice is correct. Not just results but the teams as a whoke have not performed at all. IMO

Who decides on the award??

Just checked the Premier League table. The FFSA team only won one game all year, losing the rest, scoring only 11 goals and conceding 106, with some very, very heavy defeats.

Statistically, the decision is strange to say the least.

I blieve the Prems coaches decide the award. Unless it's changed recently.

One question, if a coach who grabs most of the best players in the league, what part of the improvement or coaching does that account for. Of course they should win, how is that a good coach ? When the team is ill disciplined and abusive to other coaches and players, dirty play why would any coach vote for that. Watching the final, i was amazed no one got sent off from Metro, referee allowed a lot of poor tackles go but its the game i guess. Jono worked hard and obviously was voted by his peers, several coaches looked like they were in the running but it comes down to coaches voting by observation and respect.

If most of the best players in the league want to play for one particular club under one particular coach I think that says everything!

The award is voted by the other prems coaches. Not base on opinion, results etc it is based on another prem coach voting a rival coach who they think deserve it. Simple process really. Same as the mens
