This forum is for the discussion of women's football, the fastest growing participation sport in Australia. This includes local women's football and the A-League Women.
Nice to hear they are still going to have a side. I can understand Griffin and co's frustration on this issue as the FFA seem very good at telling clubs at almost every level of the game how to spend their money.
But on the other hand as I said with the Gerrard issue. It would be nice to see AU put that money that was planned for Gerrard into making other parts of the club more sustainable.
When the NPL was first floated the FFA wanted with in a few years all men's clubs to have women's teams and a certain quota of women coaches, not sure where its at now though.
Out of interest, can someone in the know tell me how many teams in the women's prem league are coached by women?
Just seems that every women's game I've seen has been coached by men.
