Wigan can't even sell tickets for Wembley
Had to send back 10K tickets.
They're claiming that they have done well with their sales as their average crowd is only 18K. Just shows how many are the away supporters then.
Meanwhile Millwall (average crowd - 10K) sold the full allocation of 30K.
WEMBLEY, WEMBLEY, We're the famous MILLWALL and we're going to WEMBLEY!

depends what you want to call a bandwagon support. My Dad is there, he's a season ticket holder.
Chopper Harris who posts on here is going but it's his first game of the season. Then there's people like myself and my son who have only been to 2 games this season but will be booking flights on Monday if we win on saturday.
What happens in these types of game is all the people who only go to a handfull of games, ensure they get in for this one.

Not very surprising really. Wigan is a small town where the first sport is Rugby League.God is an Englishman wrote:Had to send back 10K tickets.

Despite all of that, despite the travel issues etc.. It's laughable that little Millwall can easily sell their allocation for our 3rd trip to wembley in 5 season whilst wigan can't for what I believe is their first trip in 14 years.Jimbob wrote:Not very surprising really. Re: Wigan can't even sell tickets for Wembley
Back home Millwall have alot of plastic supporters, particulary younger fans. Alot of people from London and the Medway towns follow Millwall and they all love to support them and act like hard nuts. Its an image thing. Amount of idiots i knew that followed Millwall just because they thought they were one of the lads was hilarious. Soon as a final comes around, off to Wembley they go.

disagree slightly with that, mainly with the medway towns. I'd say the Kent borders but don't know of too many in gillingham, chatham etc..
I reckon the 30K going on saturday will be people who have gone this season a few times but for various reasons not as regular as to get season tickets etc..
No way you miss this game.
I just love the fact that Millwall can even be accused of having glory hunters

Re: Wigan can't even sell tickets for Wembley
Im not saying glory hunters and Millwall do have very loyal fans, but they definitely have alot of followers that do it just for the image. As i said, mainly young fans / Chavs. Most people from Chatham all claim to be from London anyway.

As i said, I agree with most of it I just don't think we have too many in chatham. Erith, bexleyheath, sidcup.. then you're spot on though.

Why is it laughable? Most people in Wigan don't give a shit about football.God is an Englishman wrote:Despite all of that, despite the travel issues etc.. Re: Wigan can't even sell tickets for Wembley
At the betting:
Wigan $1.75
Draw $3.45
Millwall $4.50
closes 14/4 Sunday Central Orstralyan time: 1.45am
Telecast on ESPN Chanel 508
Hate how they have sort of devalued the F.A. Cup by having league games AFTER the Cup Final in May instead of leaving it as the kind of 'grande finale' last game of the season.

Same way as the Woolwich Wanderers claim to be from North London?Ian_Wright wrote:........ Most people from Chatham all claim to be from London anyway.

I don't think we'll win but $4.50 that's fucking great odds in a 3 horse race.
People are always jealous of Millwall - biggest small club in the world.

Still love the David-and-Goliath romance of the F.A.Cup.
It's a pity that some of your inglorious basterd countrymen have tried to devalue it...

Re: Wigan can't even sell tickets for Wembley
Wigan can't be arsed coming down for this game against some mediocre club from the lower divisions, they will all come down for the Final which should be the only time you get to play at wembley in a cup competition
