Wenger a hypocrite?

Post by Nice One Cyril »

Well, we all know the answer to that one.

Disgraceful. Cazorla's dive was worse than any I've seen from Suarez or Bale.

So Cazorla is a cheat and a liar. Shame, I liked him as a player.

 you have to be kidding....
Although i will say his dive was blatant and disgraceful. Don't even for one minute try to compare these two. Bale is every second match known for diving. Santi on the other hand has done this once, and i have said it once will say it again, i don't condone his actions but you are clutching at straws here NOC

you dive once you're a diver.. you've dived to help the team.. but then again everyone does it because the refs are corrupt pieces of shit... worst debate, diving. oh and goal line tech. how are refs supposed to control the game with cameras pointing out their flaws guys!

Are there morons out there that still really think that’s a dive to win a penalty?

Wasn't even the best dive of the weekend. Bonucci takes that award - that was hilarious.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen Suarez or Bale dive when they haven't been touched at all, or not that I can remember. For sure, they sometimes exaggerate and there's sometimes a 'delayed reaction' dive, but they have at least been hit beforehand. Carzorla is just a fucking cheat, no contact EVER and he falls over theatrically. Worst diver ever and I hope refs remember they've been conned and give him fuck all from now on.

Added to that, the little cunt was wearing an Arsenal shirt

If FIFA had balls and brought in 3 match bans for players caught diving on video review , the issue would be over in about four weeks.

then they would need to change the rules. It's a booking if you get caught by the ref, but a 3 match ban if caught later on. :?

are you seriously suggesting changing the laws to my wording. If so, you're an idiot. If you mean change the punishment of diving to fit the crime (whether during or after the game) then I agree.

Obviously the sanction should be the same whenever it's applied. However, it's really difficult for a ref to be sure during a game and I think, if you make the punishment a red card and a 3 match ban, they'd never hand one out and just leave it to a post match disciplinary panel to sort out. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but the only way you'll stop it is to increase the punishment.

striker dives he can win a penalty and get a player sent off and if he gets caught it's only a booking. That should be changed! Make if fit the crime, similar to the foul does.

Simple rule fo thumb should be - if he's dived and he got away with it what punishment would the defender receive. Give that to the attacker. OK you can't give the penalty but you can send him off.

I don't disagree with you, but I just cannot see any refs having the cojones to actually dish out a red, simply because they are so easily deceived.

You Spurs fans are pathetic.
Gunners on the slide, just lost to a League 2 side with a decent team on the park, knocked out of the most winnable cup they had a chance in so thus another trophyless season – 8 years.

And not even a ‘let’s all LOL at Arsenal’ topic on the first 3-4 pages.

I am disappoint.

cmon, i'll even put the bullet in the gun for you:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "We started on the front foot, made a good start. They defended well and we all know what happened on the penalties. We had many, many chances and their keeper had a good game.

"Whenever you go out it's not a good result for Arsenal. We lost on penalties to a team who played very well. I cannot fault the effort of my team - we gave everything for the 120 minutes and you have to give credit to Bradford. It's not a lack of quality - we couldn't convert our chances for different reasons,. This was a real cup game. We'll get over this, it's part of our job. We'll focus on the next game."
And it’s not like it was a reserve or youth team that lost…..this is a Premier League XI
Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Cazorla, Ramsey (Rosicky), Wilshere, Podolski (Oxlade-Chamberlain), Coquelin (Chamakh), Gervinho. Subs: Mannone, Rosicky, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Squillaci, Jenkinson, Chamakh.
