SAASL Presentation Night

Post by Aldo Serena »

Has anyone seen any details regarding the SAASL Presentation Night, i.e. top votegetters, etc.

I know it is on at The Parks on 12th October, but usually we have details by now?

It's true that he Paul would be a worthy winner but I reckon he will get stiff competition this year from Nathan Day.

Anthony Stam to be the first keeper to win it since West Beach's Bolla Hasbollah won it 41 seasons ago in 1970 !

He should win it but with the number of games he missed, he will probably just miss out again like last year :(

Luke Air, Paul Jones, Matthew Cox would have poached some votes to.

Nathan Day will be the winner I think.

Gotta love keepers looking out for fellow keepers Swanny  & Stamma is by far the best in the league but Pauly just dominates games from start to finish week after week

Swanny from memory has a player ever won Div 1 B&F 3 years in a row..??
Vickory?? from St Peters many years ago won Sat Div 1, i think 3 on the trot

None have won it 3 years in a row in Sunday Division 1

Charlie Hofmeyer 1967,1968
Alby Soang 1975, 1976
John Piwanski 1987, 1988
Terry Hayes 1991, 1992
Mike Genikas 1994,1995
Bert Fuda 2000, 2001 ( + 2003, 2007 )
Paul Ebomo 2009, 2010

2 not consecutive..

Bobby Hayes 1977, 1979
John Mason 1980, 1982
Brian Sneddon 1993, 1999

Saturday Division 1
Steve Papadopolous 1997, 1998, 1999
Charles Holding 2000, 2009, 2010
Tyson Vickery 2004, 2006

I've only seen Paul Ebomo in 4 cup games games this year and in each, despite playing well and distributing the ball well,
I didn't have him as the stand out player.
I think Anthony Stam makes it possible for Gardens to soak up pressure and wear the opposition down.

Stamma is a key to gardens grinding out wins... Rd2 & Rd11 come to mind.... both against pontian with gardens 1-0 winners in both.... his ability to come out at a player when one on one and his ability to push a ball wide or over the bar is briliant.

Ebomo not as good as what u guys make hm out to be. Stam and Brooks definately more influential where it counts and i think Spiby doesn't get the credit he deserves for the work he does (covering Pauly and Freddy) For me Nathan looks like he'll win it this year probably the stand out for the Downs and maybe Jamie Murat from Pontians to be a dark horse

Are you serious.. :?: Shows how little respect you have you muppet, firstly with the comments re Brooksy & now you make a statement like that! His record speaks for its self... by the way how many games you played for your country.. :?:

Public forum so I'm entitled to an opinion wank stain. I don't think Ebomo is as good as you guys make him out to be quite simple really. Maybe get your hand of your cock and thinking about me and my boots and watch some football.

Why bring Vale_Boy #14 into the comparison, he never said he was better the Pauly, he just offered his opinion, how many games have you played for your country haywood ?, how many have I played ? - who cares, it's how they are playing now that matters.

Because like a handful of other he jerks off at reading my comments. I haven't come out to show Paul any disrespect or to cause an argument I just think on the handful of times I've seen him he hasn't stood out.
