Parafield Gardens 7-A-Side

Parafield Gardens Soccer Club has run a very successful outdoor junior 7-a-side comp for many years with over 300 kids participating from neighbouring clubs each year.

In 2011 Gardens will be starting a seniors competition every Wednesday night commencing 12th October to 14th December.
Registration cost will be $300 per team & closes 30th September and limited to 12 teams only with prize money also on offer.

Due to the SAASL presentation being next Wednesday night 12th Oct the competition will now commence on Wednesday 19th Oct.

Week 1 Results 19/10

UFC 1-3 MIDDAY NAP
Vale boys with Crawford & Nicholls adapting very well to the small sided game & overcoming UFC who need to recruit if they are to be in contention.

PECKERLESS 1-5 SOFA KING GOOD
Definately look the SF GOODS with Agius, Kaftan & young McConnells brothers dominating in the game that saw some nice goals but Peckerless played well by just couldnt match them.

BLUE DEVILS 2-1 COMBINATION FRIED RICE
Old boys vs the young boys but Salisbury lads winning a close one but thought the young boys shouldve won this one being indoor specialists & more used to the small sided game.

TASTY POONS 1-3 FTA
Having been part of a losing reserve cup final team the FTA pilots from Gardens got revenge showing too much pace for the Gawler Poons with all the goals being scored by the Dutchmen in Stam & a DeJong hatrick. The Poons will need stop blaming the small ball & pitch & adjust very quickly.

Week 2 Results 26/10

SOFA KING GOOD 1-1 UFC
SFG's result last week has obviously gone straight to their heads & looking very much like an Adel Utd lacking consistancy. If you gonna rely on Comini scoring goals each week they will be in trouble. UFC getting a much needed point with all the other draws doing them a favour as well as picking up some much needed recruits after last weeks performance.

MIDDAY NAP 4-2 TASTY POONS
The Napppers certainly not having a problem with consistancy or problem playing the small game with a pacey young Francis & skillfull old Nichols combining to score goals. The Poons although better this week & putting a couple past Napper keeper in Rosco who had not a great deal to do but some charity was shown by the ref awarding a penalty for the GK playing the ball outside the circle. The Poons will need to call on some quality players soon.

FTA 1-1 BLUE DEVILS
The old Blue Devils from Salisbury getting points again & not making it easy for a very quick FTA outfit who won comfortably last week. Perhaps frustration has set in already for the FTA pilots & the Devils will be keen to get 3 points next week against a team with 2 straight loses.

COMBINATION FRIED RICE 2-2 PECKERLESS
With 3 out of 4 games being draws this week both of these teams wouldve been hoping for a win after getting beaten last week. The Peckers replacing their goalkeeper who played quite well last week for a keeper who can actually dive but still couldnt stop the scoring but with a Scrumdidliumpcious on the sideline it could be a long competition. CFR perhaps saving themseleves for the indoor game they had to play later on in the same night.

Week 3 Results 2/11
PECKERLESS VS UFC
Both teams looking to get maximum points in a firery encounter to maintain a top four chance. UFC holding the lead for much of the game with Peckers gettting an equaliser in the end to share the points & next week are a must win for both teams.

MIDDAY NAP VS SOFA KING GOOD
With a few key players out this week from each side saw a very even end to end game played. The highlight being some great saves by both keepers which could of seen Sofa Kings taking an early lead however with a first half goal to the Nappers which apparently went through the net & an goal keeping error which fell to the feet of a pouching Nichols saw the Nappers keep their spot at the top.

FTA VS COMB FRIED RICE
After a draw last week the FTA pilots sporting a new kit seem to be looking the goods with a comfortable win & sitting 3 points clear in second spot. A winless Fried Ricers need to improve however it will be no easy task next week against the top team.

TASTY POONS VS BLUE DEVILS
The Poons very happy with their first win easily accounting for the Blue Devils who have been very competitive. The Poons finally getting Pondy to find the net with a brace instead sending it skyward. Rob Dogs Poons will now be looking forward to bragging rights again next week against the Peckers.

Round 5 Results 16/11
UFC 2-1 COMBINATION FRIED RICE
Golders UFC finally getting their first win in a close game against Fried Rice who try & do too much with the ball. UFC may need to focus a little more on supporting their team mates instead of abuse if they want a top four spot.

PECKERLESS 1-5 BLUE DEVILS
Peckers blaming everyone except themselves for losing games they would like me to talk them up but not much to say. Blue Devils are very solid in defence with their keeper hard to beat & they will punish teams on the break.

FTA 2-2 MIDDAY NAP
Nappers dropping their first points & were probably getting a little comfortable at the top a big game next week against the second placed Salis Utd Devils. FTA pilots very keen to maintain a top four spot would be happy with taking a point.

TASTY POONS 3-3 SOFA KING GOOD
Sofa Kings at full strength dominating first half with Comini finally scoring again Poons a little disapointed with a disallowed goal. Second half Poons were very physical taking control of the same that saw them equalise with a couple of cracking goals.

UFC 1-1 FTA
With 6 teams a chance to finish in the top 4 UFC needing 3 points from this game were unable to hold off FTA who equalised late in second half and both teams hitting the post to almost win the game.
PECKERLESS 0-0 MIDDAY NAP
Bottom team Peckerless without a win keeping the top team Nappers scoreless for the first time. Ginger2106 missing this week obviously starving the Nappers of their creativity.
BLUE DEVILS 0-3 SOFA KING GOOD
After a disappointing loss last week the Sofa Kings bounced back cementing their place in the top four playoffs with a solid win against the Blue Devils who unfortunately drop out of the top four on goal difference.
COMBINATION FRIED RICE 1-5 TASTY POONS
Fried Ricers not able to back up their first win last week & were outclassed by a desperate Poons outfit wanting a top four finish.
