OFFICIAL REFEREE & CLUB REFEREE AWARD
I have always thought that the Clubs & Coaches should Rate the Official Referee at the end of the match & that information should be taken on by the Referees Association & the Top Referees should get the Cup Finals & Big League Matches this doesnt happen ATM...
I also think that this should be done with Club Referees & a Award given to both Official & Club Referees at the end of the season may-be a holiday or a corporate box or similar...

Wrong. Wrong. The SAASRA do produce a form for clubs to rate refs & I recall being handed a copy at the AGM.blackout wrote:Wrong. Re: OFFICIAL REFEREE & CLUB REFEREE AWARD
All official referees are supposed to arrive to watch the B's game to report back on club referees. Whether or not it happens at each game I'm not sure but on the weekend against Pontians the A grade ref was there for the whole B's match.KING NUGGETT wrote:I have always thought that the Clubs & Coaches should Rate the Official Referee at the end of the match & that information should be taken on by the Referees Association & the Top Referees should get the Cup Finals & Big League Matches this doesnt happen ATM...

A referee friend of mine has informed me that all senior ref's , who ref sat & sun div 1 & div 2 , hav 2 fill in a brief report on the B-Grade ref & marks out of ten. They are trying to identify good potential 4 season 2011-12 . He tells me the plan for next season is to hav ref's for every senior game and have official ass't ref's 4 div 1 & div 2 .....sat & sun !

Perhaps he can teach you how to spell "to" and "for".
When I have people around for dinner I make sure I set aside a couple of options for vegetarians.
