Neither keeper did very much, but when they had to, the difference was evident. How Gale made that top corner save just before we scored the equaliser defied physics. Ridiculous. Probably best save at Glenunga I've seen over the past 7 years.

Lets hope this was a one off game for us. Was very impressed with Murray Bridge. They have alot of young good players who run all game. Very hard to beat up there.

Lets hope this was a one off game for us. Was very impressed with Murray Bridge. They have alot of young good players who run all game. Very hard to beat up there.

Allstars vs Sturt Marion A's 3-3, B's 0-4.

In the reserves Sturt Marion absolutly dominated the game from beggining to the end, even with 10 men.They had a red card in the first half,but were probably going to win on the day with 9 players. Our boys had a few chances here and there but didn't take them. Must say that though they had a man sent of, the rest of the guys were very disciplined and friendly. Made my job as a referree one of the easiest in a while!

A's game was one of those were anything could have happened. Sturt dominated play early in the first half but we scored contrary to the run of play! Then they came back with a goal from a scramble in the box with our defenders failing to clear the ball out. Second half Sturt scored from another mix up in the 18 yards. We equalized 10 min later with a long ball over the top with Marion keeper coming out and getting lobbed from about 16 metres out. Sturt scored their third goal from a corner kick with a header at the near post. We got our third goal after a mix up in their defence with a stolen ball from their last defender and an easy finish to the far post. Happy with the result considering 4 of our starting 11 were down with the flu and we are still missing another 4 starters with injuries. Couple more weeks and we should get a full squad!

Thanks to Surt Marion supporters and players for coming out in numbers on the day! Good bunch of guys!

Not a good result for either team but could have been worse given the A's were missing 2 of the best and the ressies played 80 mins with 10 men after a questionable red card early on.....
