Greeks in Europa League

Post by paokara »

Tomorrow morning the first of the three Greek clubs PAOK kicks off against Dynamo Zagreb in Croatia. Needing at least a point in order to go through to the round of 32. Friday morning both Aris and AEK will also be looking to get into that last 32 with AEK hosting Zenit St Petersburg, AEK like PAOK only need a point from their game in Athens to progress. While Aris' hopes rely on Bayern Leverkusen to hold Atletico Madrid to at least a draw provided that they win at home to Rosenborg. A big couple of days for Greek football in Europe :D

Wasn't the best performance but got a result in the end from playing some counter attacking football as Zagreb were looking for that all important goal the entire match, once Salpigidis scored the game was won. Goodluck to Aris and AEK tomorrow morning :D

You mean you hope we do well for Greece's sake. The games for the round of 32 was recently drawn PAOK are up against CSKA Moscow and Aris unluckily drawn with Manchester City. Going to be extremely tough for either club to make it through, i wish our bital rivals well haha.

And the prize for winning it is about 3 million Euros which will be worth about $7.50 by then.

Since you knocked Spurs out, I'd like to see you go as far as possible. At least it makes it look like we didn't lose to a complete bunch of no-hopers

PAOK lost 3-0

Olympiakos play Metalist in the last 16. nice. if they make it to the last 8 and draw one of the manc fucks I might be able to catch the English leg.

Udinese deserved to go through based on their home performance. Away all of their goals were set pieces, we had most of the ball, just as many chances and 6x as many corners but they were clinical. I'm not saying Udinese shouldn't have gone through, they deserved to but the 0-3 is kind of misleading, good luck to Udinese for the rest of the competition
