Dear FFA
Please, please, please be brave get rid of Pim now, get someone on a short term contract, Guus maybe? Anyone who can instill someone discipline and confidence in this rabble. Pay Pim out, he doesn't want to be there anyway, in his farewell game he walks off, doesn't even stop and acknowledge the fans who have endured that disgraceful performance he has done nothing to forward the game in Australia - playing one upfront against New Zealand and then having our boys kick fuck out of them. I have booked my flights and got my tickets to the games. I also booked a Safari - I'm looking forward to the Safari

seriously this is just an example of a team with no direction and no confidence - we have gone through a very soft group playing 1 upfront, of course New Zealand had more to prove, but we were so bad, if tonights performance didn't worry you then 'seriously' you have no idea

we've had a different excuse for every poor performance for the past 3 yearsFPV #18 wrote:seriously, lol @ both of you if u think this match is a sign of anything. was merely and friendly with alot of experiments
they're wearing thin
i dont buy it that we'll suddenly come good at the WC

Re: Dear FFA
the only thing worrying were the wayward and backwards passing. the major problem is the goalkeeping. if mark is to get injured, jones and federici dont cut it. fed's positioning was extremely poor, while jones was afraid to come out his 6yrd box.Knight7 wrote:FPV #18 wrote:seriously, lol @ both of you if u think this match is a sign of anything. was merely and friendly with alot of experiments

considering you have written nothing but dribble in your last 1500 posts, I take that as a compliment!!! Rather than 3 year old childish payouts, apart from the 2 players we should have had sent off and the fact that New Zealand dominated the first half, what were the positives you were going to write or is that too much of a stretch?

the fact that your entire basis of our supposed world cup chances are based on one friendly game where we fielded an under strength team...Knight7 wrote:Loppermann wrote:I was going to write something constructive, but I'm not going to bother due to the utter stupidity of your postKnight7 wrote:Please, please, please be brave get rid of Pim now, get someone on a short term contract, Guus maybe? did you really need that spelled out for you?

may i add, a friendly game that we were missing half our team and played our worse game ever but still managed too winthe fact that your entire basis of our supposed world cup chances are based on one friendly game where we fielded an under strength team...

Re: Dear FFA
Agree with you Knight7. Never ever liked the appointment of Pim, hate his selections and formations, have seen not one single change in his approach to any games while hes been in charge.
Hope im wrong.

Re: Dear FFA
At the end of the day, does aus really have much more to offer than tonight? even if their game improves 2-fold, they will be far off the pace.

Re: Dear FFA
I dont see much difference between the players he has to choose from this time compared to last time. Its whether he cuts the right ones and how he uses who he hasBig G wrote:At the end of the day, does aus really have much more to offer than tonight? even if their game improves 2-fold, they will be far off the pace.

their form is drastically different, Moore and Neill could defend last time aroundBPBC wrote:I dont see much difference between the players he has to choose from this time compared to last time. also, no Viduka
Re: Dear FFA
I said players he had to choose from. Noone forced him to select Moore over Sasha. Neill is still as capable as he was (lets not forget how well he defended in the last game of the last world cup). Viduka, Kennedy is an able replacement in that role.Loppermann wrote:their form is drastically different, Moore and Neill could defend last time aroundBPBC wrote:I dont see much difference between the players he has to choose from this time compared to last time. My point is i dont see anything drastically different in the players he had to select from. Thats no excuse for any performance. Guus never had to use it. In fact over the years, its never been an excuse used by the national team for all the dissapointments in the past.

yeh more struggled in the a-league this season.... we are in trouble if he is starting for usBresciano wrote:Moore was poor. That position a worry. Beachamp did pretty well I thought

Ognenovski himself forced Pim to pick Moore instead of him by opting to play for Macedonia...BPBC wrote:I said players he had to choose from. Noone forced him to select Moore over Sasha. Kennedy is decent but Viduka of 06 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kennedy currently
players are also 4 years older, hence 4 years slower
there was also more competition for places... the best XI picks itself these days

agreed on both camps, Beauchamp actually won headers. Moore on the other hand...Bresciano wrote:Moore was poor. That position a worry. Beachamp did pretty well I thought
Re: Dear FFA
I quiet like that we played against NZ, you always know they want to beat us at any cost, and playing against a team like that hardens you up.
1st half was terrible, but give some credit to the Kiwi's they shoved it up us and our so called star players. 2nd half was better with the fringe players trying to prove themselves.
Final point. Moore has had his day, time for him to sit back in his Gold Coast mansion and watch the World Cup from there.

Re: Dear FFA
I will take it as a few players are returning from injury and are lacking a little match sharpness and fitness, although my subconscious tells me we are just crap.
It concerns me an A-league dominate NZ side troubled our so called super star team. Our problem is all our players are fringe players for there clubs and just don't play enough regular football.
We have to be optimistic and hope the Aussies progress to the next round, but lets face it, 3 weeks from the World Cup and playing like that, out in three, winless and goalless.

Re: Dear FFA
Put his hand up for Oz and was shafted. Either way came back and offered his services, stubborness by the soon to be departed manager could be very costly for our Countries chances. No excuse for not picking him, Moore is completely and utterly past it and Milligan is a fairyLoppermann wrote: Ognenovski himself forced Pim to pick Moore instead of him by opting to play for Macedonia...

Kennedy is an able replacement, i dont claim that he is as good as dukes.
Often happens that players are 4 years older than the last world cup. Fact remains the players are still playing 1st team football at top clubs. Kewell, although wrapped in cotton wool, has played more football this season than in the whole 3 seasons prior the last world cup. Cahill is still as good, if not better. Neill may not be rated as good as he was, but really, was he that good? As far as im concerned his pool of players to select is just as good as Guus's, and that of managers before him. We've never been world beaters
Re: Dear FFA
No Schwarzer, Kewell, Kennedy, Emerton, Wilkshere, Chipperfield. You'd expect all (or most) will start the first match against Germany

a friendly match before the WC means absolutely nothing
Portugal just drew with Cape Verde, do you expect North Korea to smash 5 past them now?
Re: Dear FFA
Point taken and I really hope so but have we looked good in any match we have played under Pim. You could count the matches on one hand. I really hope we do better but lets face the truth, we are not. One up front against teams like Germany and Serbia will not trouble there defenders at all. The only guy who even looks capable of scoring is Cahill, I really cannot see us scoring at all with the strikers Pim has selected. I hope I am wrong.Loppermann wrote:we played ordinaraliy against Liechtenstien before last world cup too... tell me how that tournament went?Ollo Ollo wrote:I will take it as a few players are returning from injury and are lacking a little match sharpness and fitness, although my subconscious tells me we are just crap.
