On the one hand, he appears to be a realist as probably no-one else gives the Aussies any chance.
But then again, should he be publicly saying this - can this affect the players' subconcious thoughts?
Or could it be a pressure release tactic?
Or is he covering his position if the boys play poorly?
I reckon its the latter.

He goes after the WC anyway, so why should he cover his back like that? I reckon it is just to release some of the pressure from players, expecting the best performance from them.
