u/17 Matilda's, Asia Cup Campaign

Post by Red-4-Life »

So far have defeated China 4-0 and with a second string team beat Chinese Taipei 7-0. They play Japan tonight in their last group stage game but have already qualified for the semi finals. Top spot is up for grabs though. Overall 3rd or higher spot will see them qualify for the World Cup next year in Trinidad and Tobago. Good luck to them tonight and rest of the competition!

went down 4-3 tonight in their semi final against DPR Korea, the current World Champs. Need to beat Japan this sunday in 3rd/4th playoff to qualify for next years World Cup. Ive heard DPR Korea did what they do best in Asia and waste time by faking injuries and wasting time. Australia were winning most of the game as well. Bad luck and all the best for Sunday!
Goal Sequence - 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4 (game lost on 85 mins)

yeah ive just got an sms telling me the score :( they did so well in group stage and its really unfortunate they fell at the last hurdle. They are a much better team than what was shown in the finals. They tried their hardest and should be proud they were out there repping Australia, not many people get to do that. At such a young age they have a long way to go with their careers.
