Kaka set for $164m Chelsea move
AC Milan's Brazilian star Kaka is set to move to English Premier League side Chelsea on a world-record transfer of £80 million ($164 million) pounds, his advisor claimed.
The Italian club signed the international teammate of Ronaldinho despite reported financial difficulties, and Kaka's personal assistant Diogo Kotscho claims all parties involved now want the deal to go through.
"Real Madrid offered 90 million euros last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kotscho told The Guardian.
"This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen.
"Because of the situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved.
"The move would represent a significant increase in Kaka's salary, on top of the 10 per cent transfer fee that goes straight to the player anyway – some 15 million euros ($25m).
"Chelsea are the club to be at right now. They are building a team to win everything."
Any deal looks certain to break the world record transfer fee of €80 million ($130m) set when Real Madrid signed Zinedine Zidane from Juventus in 2001.
If he moved the FIFA World Player of the Year would be reunited with manager Luiz Felipe Scolari who handed him a Brazil debut in 2002 and then included him in the squad that went on to win the World Cup that year.
Kaka, 26, is under contract with Milan until 2012.
But he was irritated by the club's refusal to let him play for Brazil in the Olympics, followed by their agreement to let Ronaldinho go to Beijing.

"KAKÁ IS UNSELLABLE"
7/19/2008
MILAN - In response to the declarations published today on English daily "The Guardian", Milan communications director Vittorio Mentana has reiterated that "Kaká is absolutely not for sale."

Galliani Confirms Blues' Bid For Kaka
Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Chelsea's reported 'mega-bid' for Kaka is the stuff of fact, but that it has been "basically" rejected by the Rossoneri...
Brazil and Milan ace Kaka was the latest big name to be linked with a mega move this week as the elite clubs continue to test each other's resolve in the summer transfer market.
Big-spenders Chelsea reportedly sought to lure the Rossoneri's star man to the Premiership, just after the Serie A side linked him up with his countryman Ronaldinho.
A €100m bid has been mentioned and subsequently went some way to unsettling the midfield maestro.
The 26-year-old went on to claim that there were in fact two clubs after his services, with his apparent advisor, Diogo Kotscho, adding that, although Real Madrid had failed to land the player last year, a move to London was more likely.
However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that, although Chelsea have laid their credit cards on the table, bigwig Silvio Berlusconi hasn't taken the rather expensive bait.
“Chelsea want Kaka?” Galliani cheekily asked eager reporters on Saturday. “It's true - they have made a conspicuous offer - but I won't tell you how much it is.
Adding that his boss has a backbone of steel, Galliani continued: "President Berlusconi basically says no to Kaka [leaving], just as he did when Real Madrid wanted [Andrei] Shevchenko in 2001.
“Even Clarence Seedorf is staying here; the fans can sleep easy.”

Re: Kaka set for $164m Chelsea move
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the club have rejected a massive offer from Chelsea for Brazilian playmaker Kaka.
Reports over the weekend suggested Kaka could be on his way to Stamford Bridge in a world record deal.
Kaka's representative fuelled rumours of a move to west London by claiming that the player would be interested in a switch to the Blues.
However, Milan moved quickly to dispel the rumours by saying Kaka was not for sale and Galliani says Milan president Silvio Berlusconi rejected the mega bid from Chelsea.
"It's true that Chelsea made a conspicuous offer, but I will not say how much it was," Galliani told the Italian press.
"It is equally true that we said no. President Silvio Berlusconi rejected the chance to sell Kaka, just as he told Real Madrid no in 2001 for Andriy Shevchenko."
Galliani insists Kaka and Juventus target Clarence Seedorf will be staying with the Rossoneri for the new season.
"Kaka is going nowhere and neither is Clarence Seedorf," added Galliani. "The fans can sleep easy."
Kaka, however, admits he is unsure of his future claiming two clubs are chasing his services with Real Madrid thought to be rivalling Chelsea for the South American's signature.
"When I return to Italy I will know what's going to happen, but at the moment nothing is certain," said Kaka.
"There are two teams who are very interested in signing me, but now I do not want to talk about it.
"Until we return to Milan and know how things are, we cannot decide what happens with my future."

It has as much chance of happening as Real has of getting CR off of SAF and Man U. Just the opening gambit I suspect. he'll look good in a blue shirt at Stamford Bridge.

Screw Ronaldo, tired of that guy playing both the Manchester United and Real Madrid fans, all that stuff about Real Madrid being his dream club was probably a load of crap just so he could get a pay rise, I say, good riddance, if he's not man enough to state his true desire Real Madrid should forget about him and then go for Kaka if he's available. Kaka is a more pivotal player in a more pivotal position.

agree on Kaka, if Milan didnt have such a bad season, he'd still be considered no.1.

Re: Kaka set for $164m Chelsea move
Well even still I do harbour some hopes that Ronaldo is a decent guy and that it's all part of the plan to get the transfer deal done, having said that Kaka did the same thing last season so I don't know, either way though Real Madrid still have the potential to cause a wave in the Champions League next season, we have more than enough quality players to do a lot of damage to the likes of Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan etc. Even without Ronaldo or Kaka, we'll be able to challenge for all trophies and even if Ronaldo or Kaka don't come doesn't mean i'm not going to support Real Madrid, it'll just be disappointing that players are using Real Madrid to inflate thier pay packets. If Ronaldo doesn't come, I hope Real Madrid play Manchester United and we show that red nosed alcoholic and his little Portuguese princess just who the greatest club in the world is.Il Duce wrote:did you just realise that now??

Kaka is a bit different I reckon, everyone respects Kaka cause he goes about things with real class, doesnt act like a wanka on or off the pitch.
I think he'll leave Milan one day but won't go about it like Ronaldo is doing.

Re: Kaka set for $164m Chelsea move
I followed the Kaka transfer saga pretty closely and he did play both sides a bit as well, he would say something like, "I'm staying with Milan" and then the next day, "I'd be happy to play for Real Madrid". Just annoying really, especially seeing as you think he's coming and then he doesn't.Il Duce wrote:Ronaldo is a wanka just like Behrami, except he has more talent.Madridista612 wrote:Well even still I do harbour some hopes that Ronaldo is a decent guy and that it's all part of the plan to get the transfer deal done, having said that Kaka did the same thing last season so I don't know, either way though Real Madrid still have the potential to cause a wave in the Champions League next season, we have more than enough quality players to do a lot of damage to the likes of Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan etc. Even without Ronaldo or Kaka, we'll be able to challenge for all trophies and even if Ronaldo or Kaka don't come doesn't mean i'm not going to support Real Madrid, it'll just be disappointing that players are using Real Madrid to inflate thier pay packets.
