A Harry Kewell header early in the second-half has earnt Australia a 1-0 victory over Iraq in its World Cup qualifier played in Brisbane on Sunday night.
Kewell's 47th minute header was enough to extend the Socceroos' lead at the top of AFC Group One to four points - with nearest rival Qatar playing China on Monday.
Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer also pulled off a number of key saves to keep a third clean sheet in this qualification campaign.

Re: Kewell nods Australia home
a draw would have been a fair result here. Neither team managed to convert their chances (apart from the goal of course). Kewell proved that he just hasn't got it anymore, how many chances did he miss?
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:
Colossus: One House
Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Re: Kewell nods Australia home
Both sides had many chances. As for a draw, possibly but 6-3 should of been the result to Australia if the sides had of converted 1/2 the chances made. Australia looked the better side but we were at home and should attack more, Iraq did well for a travelling side.
