WENDY EY COACHING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WOMEN

Nominations are being called for the 2008/2009 Wendy Ey Memorial Coaching Scholarships for women.

Wendy Ey was committed to enhancing opportunities for Women in Sport and Recreation, and her legacy has been continued in the form of these scholarships which have been established to encourage and assist women coaches to achieve success in their chosen sport. Up to 10 Wendy Ey Scholarships for Women will be awarded for 2008/2009.

Women wishing to nominate must:

Be a current NCAS coach with a minimum Level 1 accreditation in their chosen sport
Have the entry form signed by their State Sporting Organisation
Be bound by the Coaches Code of Ethics
Be a permanent resident of South Australia
Not have received a Wendy Ey Scholarship in the past


The registration period opens on Monday 21st January 2008 and closes on Friday 29th February 2008 at 5.00pm. Application forms can be found on our website: http://www.recsport.sa.gov.au



Please find attached the information brochure including the selection criteria and an application form. We ask that you distribute this to all eligible coaches within your sport.

Please note that the Office for Recreation and Sport Coaching & Officiating Scholarships will be released in the near future. These scholarships are targeted at any volunteer coach or official who is looking to further develop their skills in their chosen area.
