Bolton forward El-Hadji Diouf has reversed his decision to retire from the Senegal national team.
The 26-year-old former Liverpool man quit the Lions Teranga earlier in October due to what he said was an unprofessional attitude from the country's federation.
"I am very sensitive to the different queries concerning my decision to suspend my activities within the national team," Diouf said.
"I have decided - with humility - to rejoin the national team of my country which I love deeply."
Diouf, then playing for Lens in France, burst onto the scene with his country at the 2002 African Cup of Nations - in which Senegal finished runners-up - and then led the line in their stunning World Cup run to the quarter finals, despatching holders France in the first game.
He had quit the national team following confusion surrounding a friendly match during the international break in October.
"The team has a scheduled friendly match in a week and we don't even know who we are playing against. This is unacceptable," he had said.
"If we have to come and play for our country, we have to pay for our own air ticket and reimbursement of the cost is another big problem."
But he has since been named in squads by coach Henryk Kasperczak and has decided to return with a view to playing in January's African Cup of Nations in Ghana.
