Industry Cup
The Industry Cup was played today 21/10 at the Eliz Vale soccer club, a carnival involving local business. Holdens had 5 teams, Bridgstones, Ausco involved and other teams. Great day out and well organised by Paul Waldren. Congratulations to HT Constructions and there star studed line-up, wich won the final 5-3 against Tumpy Steel pty ltd. Ausco should have been in the final but couldnt complete the day because of other comittments. Enjoyable day played in good spirits all teams very close, good to get some footy heads out of the factories playing, all realising that soccer aint such a soft game. The cups been played for a few years and keeps getting bigger and better..

Your right, big reason why certain clubs have been able to stay strong, with these companies providing sponsorship, players and loads of local juniors.swannsong wrote:Maybe they should start an Industrial League.....which could go on to form an Amateur League.......damn, already been done back in the 60's!Dallas Crane wrote:The Industry Cup was played today 21/10 at the Eliz Vale soccer club, a carnival involving local business. Leave him alone....he's a defender - goals don't come often.

Rumour has it after this recent form in front of goal, he's eyeing off a role up front with Brooksey for the vale???
