Graham Arnold MUST be sacked

Post by Zakynthos »

Dear Kosmina lovers,

I saw the game on foxtel sunday night, (thank god for foxtel), and I have to say when I see the likes of John Kosmina sitting between Arnold and Rob Baan in the dugout it doesnt look good,

what doesnt look good about this picture you ask? you guessed it, thats right, John Kosmina is in this picture

lets analyse the game shall we,

1st half

we sometimes play the ball along the ground, but balls that were distributed along the deck from defensive midfield into our attacking half was a joke, I counted three deliveries that went to there omani midfield, three deliveries from the same guy mind you, he plays in Italy, any guesses?? grella

I noticed that everytime oman defenders had the ball in the own half they were not pressured into coffing it up early, there was no pressure on there back 4, why?? is it because possibly that our attackers have been instructed not to pressure unless only in australias half??

was there a manmarker on kewell?, the comentators mentioned this, he had slighty long hair?, maybe a ponytail, he got yellow carded in the first half also

were other players manmarked by omanis also?

the goal that oman scored was by a lapse in concentration by kisnorbo possibly, he fell on the ground, very sad and obviously no balance

but my biggest concern in the first half was the lack of penetration of our mifield to unlock there defense. There were no wall passes, attacks only coming from the lest side, unless emerton attacked from the right, if you call them attacks

bresciano tried but really, i mean really, what was his role? what is celinas role? and where the fig is cahill??

the oman players looked much more confortable on the ball in the first half

2nd half

the second half was just as bad. When I saw the likes of Aloisi coming on and being spoken to be Kosmina, I started to throw up, I vomited, why?

remember the man marker from the first half, he attacked through the middle of the park in the second half, went to shoot with his left, at the last minute he bamboozled kisnorbo and shot with his right foot and cracked a lovely shot, thank god for schwarzer the keeper, he saved us a few times

the oman players were just as good in the second half as they were in the first half

I noticed plenty of long balls from our defenders coming from the back, is this the influence of kosmina?? the long ball style?? god forbid

and remember kosmina lovers, we were lucky to get out of this game with a draw

future

we play iraq on friday night, i am not looking forward to this game, i saw the game between iraq and thailand and i tell you what, iraq were stunning in the first half, not the result but the way they play, that number 5 for iraq, the midfielder, he shits over grella and bresciano, full top

you think oman caused australia problems, wait when they play iraq, boys and girls

Assessment

these are the grades i handed out to the players of australia (out of 10)

schwarzer - 9
emerton - 4 Fail
kisnorbo - 1 Fail
neil - 5
wilkshire - 3 Fail
celina - 5
grella - 2 Fail
bresiano - 6
Kewell - 7
Viduka - 7
Sterjovski - 2 Fail

subs

aloisi - 5
cahill - 8

and any other sub that came on passed the assesment also

coaching assesment

Arnold - 3 Fail
Baan 9
kosmina - 1 Fail

I will explain my coaching assessments with some questions

1. why has arnold NOT adopted a full court press when australia doesnt have the ball?, you cannot allow the defense to do as they wish in there own half, (hiddink always pressed with PSV Eindhoven)

2. why has arnold adopted this 4-2-3-1, the loner striker role?, if australia is to adopt a lone striker role, then adopt a 4-3-3 system like the dutch do

3. why is wilkshire in the starting eleven? he is not good enough at this level, it is as simple as that

4. why is kisnorbo in the starting eleven? he is not good enough at this level, it is as plain as the nose on your face

5. why was Cahill on the bench? if he is fit then he starts, if he is NOT fit then he is NOT up for selection, simple as that

6. why is kosmina assisant to arnold? because it is who your mates are

I gave arnold 3 out of 10 because he is a gentleman of the game, but gentlemens will not win australia the cup, he doesnt have the experience at this level but I have to admit i have liked some of his previous friendlies especially against uruaguy but they are only friendlies and there in lies the problem folks

the oman coach is argentinean, he played with maradona, thats says it all

i gave rob baan 9 out of 10 because of the good work he has done with the young socceroos and he also knows what the frig is going on when it comes to coaching

I gave kosmina 1 out of 10 because he should not be assistant to our national team, he offers nothing to the socceroos except the long ball game, his attitute towards the supporters and referees leaves alot to be desired

at one stage one of the oman players went to fetch the ball near the touch line for a throw in and kosmina was near there and I thought, I NO, kosmina was going to choke the guy (hahahaahahahahahah)

now we wouldnt want that would we, kosmina faithful

Solution

it is time to get a proper coach, Houlier, thats right liverpool people, Geard Houlier, has he quit from Lyon in France??

this guy setup the Clair Fontane system 20 years ago and look now, the clare fontane system is a youth system based in france that produces stunnning youngsters, Henry and the like have come through and more players are coming through like Samir Nasri, heard the name?? I guess not

but we have heard of fleetwood and barbaro and the like havent we?, please, dont insult my intelligence, we are talking about qaulity players in quality leagues if you dont mind

get off the grass FFA and get rid of these pretenders in Arnold and especially Kosmina because if I have to see Kosmina one more time on TV I will run out on the road in front of a truck

If the socceroos won 5-0, Zak would still find something to criticise because it is plain and simple to see that he has personal issues with certain people, hence his post has no credibility, even if certain points arent far off the mark on this occasion.
Even world cup winners dont always fire on all cylinders in their first group game/s.
Oh, and coach brings on Cahill, Cahill scores - usually that is met with a "great sub" remark, but as usual, negative negative negative Zak keeps only one eye open.

FUUCK OFF ZAK
U DEGENERATE

U just cant help urself, always a negative pessimist

As much as I was frustrated how bad Australia played, especially the woeful defensive tactics.
CLOSE DOWN THE ATTACKERS!
How many times did the defence back off the oman attackers.
Against quality opposition, we would of been crucified.
But I will let the performance slide for now, due to the heat and humidity at the venue.

my opinion...

Zak gave Viduka a 7.... therefore Zak is either

1. Blind
2. f**ked in the head
3. all of the above.

Viduka did absolutely nothing last night of value... he shouldnt even be out there..... looked totally disinterested....

our midfield couldnt string together 2 passes to save them selves and our defence was caught ball watching way too often.....

were we badly coached? perhaps.... but lets be honest... Arnie isnt close to Guus is he?

Oman completely out played us last night.... they were organised (esp their defence) and their build up play compared to ours was first class....

we looked like the socceroos of old (think 10-15 years ago) last night.... quite scary when ya think about it....

We defended too deep giving the midfield absolutely no help defensively (too far behind for the 2nd tackle). Ultimately there was far too much distance between the lines. There was no team out there last night. There was no structure, no system, no cohesion.

In 34 degree heat and high humidity the last thing you want to be doing is chasing shadows, and as a team not acclimatised to that type of weather we were always going to struggle.

Ultimately, whether we win the tournament or get knocked out, it will be a good learning curve and much better than any Oceania qualifier. Long term it will only benefit our future prospects. Oman, rated as one of the easy beats, were physical, organised, disciplined, and smart. This is the type of team we will now encounter on a regular basis.

If I had to place blame on anybody it would be GA. Unfortunately he doesn't have the tactical nouse, and IMO, the respect of the playing group to get the results we all know we should be getting.

AUSTRALIA WERE TERRIBLE. FAVORITIES - WHAT A JOKE.
SACK ARNI & KOSMINA AND 50% OF THE SQUAD.
EVEN AGAINST A WEAK SIDE LIKE SINGAPORE WE STRUGGLED.

the socceroos played shithouse! and if it wasn't for Schwarzer and Cahill we would have been farrked last night!
their conditioning coach (anthony calia, or somethin) was on Foxtel, commentating with Mr "longfarkingwordsthatdontmeanshit" Harper, and he looked overweight and out of condition - the heat obviously didn't bother him? the point is that they (our national team) were not prepared properly, so who is to blaim? exactly, the whole management from Arnie down to the farkerwit overweight conditioning coach sitting in an Oz tv studio in Sydney! i guess kozzi just happend to be in the middle of the other farkerwits at the time - poor prik can't take a break

the next match will tell, plenty of time to get their conditioning/acclimatization in to gear ???

after last night they can only improve 8)

The major problem is that the press have built Australia up so much that it is impossible for the coach or the players to to meet their expectations.

They have always had the impression that Asian teams are soft and lacking in quality when the opposite is true.

Take Oman for instance.
They have had world class coaches at all levels of their game for many years and have produced an excellent squad of players who are adept in all aspects of the game.
They are full-time professionals paid extremely well and given everything they need to enable them to compete on the world stage.

They have beaten some highly rated teams in recent years and have proved to be a fast, skillful and physically strong team.

These teams also have the advantage of being used to playing in the conditions and to have had numerous games against quality opposition to prepare them.

They also have the advantage of ahving all their players available to train and play at home whenever they need - this is where Australia have a huge disadvantage.

i do aplogise for my bias towards viduka, but sadly he is a top player playing in a bullshit system that arnold and kosmina have invented

If i remember correctly, 4-2-3-1 is a system kosmina loved to use, correct me if i am wrong, kosmina disciples

As usuall its the same stains that disagree, the same old kosmina lovers. The same old we have plenty of talent playing for enfield, or paralowie, or campbelltown who are just not given the chance.

The same people who were glad to see the back of hiddink just so they can fantacise over kosmina. Get this through your thick heads the campaign is over for the socceroos. Just because Zak tells you what you dont want to hear, the truth about how we have gone backwards, back to the farina days you dont need to cry and rip into him.

Your solutions please. The bloke has given you his solution. What is yours? Especially you tossi, it sounds like you know alot about the game, it sounds like you are a cambelltown midfielder that is knocking on the door to play for united or even the socceroos. Did the socceroos impress you, did kosmina do it for you again?

You digicom are just as bad as tossi. I bet you guys really deep down enjoy seeing the socceroos lose and loved it when italy knocked them out of the world cup. I have another theory the reason why you bootlaces enjoyed kosmina coach united is that you really wanted adelaide city in the a league and couldnt stand a real state team coming through with the ultimate success. Rodents.

Seriously you guys are wack, you contribute nothing positive at all to football and I'm quite tried of reading you negative BS on the forums.
You hadn't posted for ages you two but you're here again spreading your negative crap.
I wonder what's in store for us this season in the A-league?

*these guys should be banned from the forum.

For me I think that the players are dictating the game and where they are playing and what they are doing.

With Hiddink he comes into the team and says...I want it done this way. You will play this way or you wont play. The perfect example of this is Harry Kewell. Rafa Benitez plays him on the left (when he plays that is), Hiddink played him on the left and he did very well, David O'leary played him on the left at leeds and he was a world beater. Yet Arni and before him Farina let him play where he wants to...behind the strikers where he is largely ineffectual and hasn't put in a decent performance for Australia in that position yet.

Arnie has to look at the balance of the team and realise that maybe it doesn't quite fit, but he has to be strong and tell them what he wants them to do and how he wants them to play or they will do exactly what happened last night.

Kisnobo and Wilkshire are both muppets...I thought we had moved on from having a dud centre back like Popovis in the team and then he selects Kisnorbo. Perhaps the most glaring gap in the team is the loss of Chipperfield...leaves a big whole defensively.

I really hope they turn it around because last night it was just embarassing to see a team beaten all over the park so comprehensively!!
First the rotating...then the Dennis Wiseing...now the punking of me on my show. That is it Big boss...No More!

There is no where to hide now for the socceroos! Everyone saw the mediocre performance and have had their say on the matter!
Now the players have the chance to step up and show some spirit!
What experience did Klinsman have as a coach?? (its mostly about the talent and the application of the players)
The entire German FA disagreed with his style prior to the WC!
I'm still baking the Aussies to win the cup! We saw at the world cup they have the ability to do it, there is just no absolutes in soccer.
If we continuet with similar performances, then the players must answer the critics not just the coach

Ive never heard so much blame attributed to an ASSISTANT coach. Zak, the Venga bus is coming - be in front of it!
AND Hiddink fully endorsed Arnold's appointment - and not to make Hiddink look better, but for benefit of Aussie football.
We all know if Arnie fails at this campaign, he is likely to get the boot anyway.
The socceroos are well in it. And should Japan's coaching staff get the hook too seeing they only drew with Qatar?
Yes, Chopper, you are being very farchen rude!

With all due respect Hiddink probably endorsed arnold as he wants him in charge untill he (hiddink) is ready to take over again. Also I must say that you cannot judge Arnold by one game, they could turn it aroun... this is where he is tested. Personally I hate the system they play with.... I hated it when Hiddink played with it I think those two wing forwards they play create a massive void in the middlie of the park... and playing kewell in the support striker role makes it worse, he belongs on the wing.

First of all mate, if u want to have a go at me - at least get my name right U DEGENERATE!
So what do we have here, another post by loverboy motley in defence of his boyfriend zak (the whack). No surprises here???
U always JUMP to his defence as soon as forumites attack his stupid posts.

Just wondering motley, does zak penetrate ur mind when he is penetrating ur colo?????
Neways, u want solutions? How about U Motley and Zak jump in front of the vengabus. I am sure many on here are sick and tired of ur constant pathetic complaining about United and the Footballroos.
Didn't ur mum tell u that if u do not have anything nice to say, then shut the FUUCK UP!

PS, Australia will ALWAYS be my 2nd favourite football nation and when Italy controversially knocked em out of the world cup, I was very sad to see Australia lose that way!
But, I will continue to support the Aussies in football, they will ONLY take second fiddle against the mighty Azzurri!

Arnold has to go and kosmina should go and do a coaching course in europe. Also a course on manners would be very helpful. All of the slugs that dont care if the Socceroos put in mediocre performances and go backwards as long as their hero, their idol, their god is on television.

Thumbs up to all those patriotic Aussies who enjoyed the Socceroos performance the other night. All the kosmina lovers need a big pat on the back, well done losers.
