Juve And Arsenal Planning Trezeguet-Gilberto Silva Swap

According to the Italian daily sports newspaper, 'Corriere dello Sport', the Bianconeri and Gunners are expected to exchange David Trezeguet and Gilberto Silva in the coming weeks.

It is no secret that Trezeguet wants out of Juventus, and his preferred destination would be Arsenal, where he would re-unite with his friend Thierry Henry and recompose the attacking duo of Monaco.

Arsene Wenger sees in Trezeguet the perfect shoulder for Henry and for this reason is ready to let midfielder Gilberto Silva go to the Turin giants in exchange for the French striker.

However, the Gunners will have to beat the competition of Liverpool and Valencia, who are also interested in signing the Juventus attacker.

Trezeguet has ended his seven year experience with the Bianconeri as the highest ever scoring foreign player of the Old Lady thanks to his constant scoring throughout the years which also allowed him to win the top-scorer’s list in Serie A.

Need a goal scoring midfielder ala "robert pires" in the team!!
efforts in front of goal was at times embarrasing last year (West Ham game)

If we can start games better ie. not concede first goal at home, we will be competitive next year now that the some of the youngsters have 50+ games under their belts! Plus the players will be more at comfortable at emirates this year

i think fabs can score plenty of goals had a bad run with shots last year but is young and such a quality player that that can turn round. think its a good trade although silva had a great season when most in the team didn't. given time diaby & dennilson will step up and be able to cover the void. looks like a good deal for the gunners imo

Has Henry settled his differences with Arsenal? Would be a disaster if they brought in Trezeguet only to see Henry go to Barca, whats plan B ???
Blue is the color, football is the game.
2006/2007 EPL runner up
2006/2007 Champions League Semi-Finalist
2006/2007 FA Cup winners
2006/2007 League Cup winners
and still considered 2006/2007 to be an un-successful season
