i make the distinction in that i have a more emotional connection to Lazio cos thats where my family is from and thats the first football team i knew i had to support. i love Liverpool, I follow their results and news and player movements etc etc but the emotional attachment of where my roots come from is there (well i hope not!), i jsut love to follow the team. is your family from Milan 97?

Sounds like you're a two timer. The whole idea of being able to support more than one team passionately is lost on me. You could explain it until you're blue in the face and I still wouldn't get it.

My family is Australian through and through and proud of it. Do I have family that live in Milano yes, are they Interisti yes, have I been there many times for extend periods of my life yes, have I been a regular in CN yes.

However my reasons for following Inter have nothing to do with family although admittedly early childhood memories of Milano may have been factor.

we arent talking about the heysel incident, we are talking about the hillsbrough disaster.
the heysel incident is one that club officials and past legends of both clubs have worked to build better relationships of the two clubs.
the hillbrough disaster is another incident all together, where it was far from the fault of the liverpool supporters, but in actual fact, that of the police and security at the ground.
too many people were let into the stadium at that end, and once they had recognised this, for some reason they decided to lock the gates, some say to not let any more people in, but how were they supposed to get out. to see images and hear stories of women and children dieing are not good for anyones ears.
you may not ever know what this sort of thing means to people until you go to a memorial service and get some kind of idea for yourself.
