But this isn't isolated - 2nd time this year. Given what just happened, Nugget you apparently think Kenyon should have come out and said "SAASL are doing a great job of using the tax payers money they've been given to help migrant / refugee groups integrate." I can see why you're not a politician.
What I would Expect OUR Minister For Sport to say is something like....
You can't blame or Judge the SAASL or the other 90 Clubs for this incident they do a Fantastic job for our Community & have done successfully for 47yrs this is a isolated incident & I am sure they with the help from my Department will handle this situation quickly & appropriately.
Just the other day I was ask to one of the many Charity Days Organised & Run by one of these 90 Clubs.
Something to that affect, not what he did! He basically spoke about the funding of our sport & he will look into if that funding is appropriate ???
People were assaulted and not for the first time. You cannot expect the Minister to come out and say - "well hey, it was ugly but the SAASL are doing are great job"
Of course he is going to question it - especially when money from our pockets are contributing to this (sate or federal taxes).
Wake up Nuggett!
