Re: Results July 2nd
Stirling vs Bosa
C's 4-3 bosa
B's called off prior to the game starting
A's called off at the start of the 2nd half with stirling up 1-0 with a penalty
The a's were a 50/50 to start proir to the game, both coaches convincing the ref to adopt a 'see how it plays' approach. Both goal areas were packed in mud, and the outfield was holding alot of water. As the first half went on, the tackles got sloppier, and the more dangerous it looked from both teams. In hindsight the game should not have been started, but didnt look like at half time conditions had changed from when the game was approved to start.
I understand the stirling boys were dissappointed that the game was called off abruptly aver kick off, but i was dissapointed to hear the one lad from there bench verbally abuse our players and say 'next time lads we'll hurt em good n they'll need ambulences to take them back home'. Apart from that stirling were very nice and hospitable, and i look forward to coming back up(depending what the league says).

First of all the conditions had NOT changed at half time since the start of the match.
There was nothing wrong with the pitch. It was quite wet I’ll give you that, but there was no standing water and the ball rolled fine. The goal area in the six yard box was a little bit muddy but that has to be expected for this time of year.
First of all Bosa were trying to get the game called off at the start and then once some of the Stirling boys started to tuck into the food and beer you decided you wanted to play. We were happy to play as there was nothing wrong with the pitch at all.
The first half was fine there weren’t many tackles that warranted any cards and Stirling were on top especially after the penalty that was converted. Bosa didn’t look at the races and as soon as half time came around the coach of Bosa (etc) were getting into the ref telling him to call it off. Bosa stayed out with the ref in the rain at half time to try and prove their point in calling it off the game. Because the referee is such a push over Bosa got their way.
The ref said if there were any bad challenges he would call it off!! So straight from the kick off a Bosa player put in a 2 two footed challenge worthy of a red card, but the ref didn’t give it and just called the game off.
So Bosa get away with the game with no points lost and with a player not suspended.
In regard to verbal abuse I never heard such a thing but at the end of the day it was called off.
The referee should have played out the game out as the conditions had not got any worse since the start. There was nothing wrong with the pitch!

Detto.....as per above, you can easily persuade the ref with a bit of oc health and safety bullshit.....1 nil down, play it out if conditions don't change, otherwise GO FISHING!Bodes wrote:Pretty sure that's what he said.Gunners1 wrote:some bloke wrote:Stirling vs Bosa

Had conditions changed during the duration of the game? If not and the game had started, it should have been completed.some bloke wrote:Wasnt the conditions the ref pointed out, was the saftey of the players.
Can only imagine a bit of pxissing in the ref's ear going on at HT when the conditions may not have favoured one side and also possibly being down at HT

VERY SOFT IMO, that ground could handle a mountain of sxhit.

Ref wrote on the team sheet 'Game called off due to dangerous conditions'. Conditions didn't change from kick off to half time. Bosa manipulated the ref from start to finish, unfortunately the ref that was there today is completely spineless, if it had been Greek Steve or the fella who checks the ball pressure before the game this wouldn't have happened. The 2 footed tackle over the ball that the ref called the game off on would have been red carded and we would have got on with the game. Absolute joke, surprised some blokes can sleep at night.....Jack Mehorf wrote:Had conditions changed during the duration of the game? Without being there...........i guessed that would've been the case . If it was called of before, i could understand, change of conditions due to more rain etc. NP. but if the game is 50% done and dusted and no change...........someone's gone down on the ref at HT and he's all out of juice. The fact u werent there means your opinion doesnt matter on this discussion. Your comments are those of a 12 yr old anyway and are as useful as tits on a bull. I respect the comments of the players there because like myself, they were there. Stop trying to be a hero

Mate my team is sitting top, came up to play 2nd, and we got no game time at all. Ive done no hiding behind anyone. The only thing typical is your responses, all about cocks and have nothing to do with the issue at hand. Keep your opinion to yourself because it means nothing.
Re: Results July 2nd
Basically, The ref and BOSA are a bunch of soft cocks.
Something dodgy went on at half time. As soon as we walked out of the changed rooms the Bosa coach was in the refs ear, (if bosa were winning, it would NEVER of happened). Straight from the Stirling kick off, the bold guy did a wreck less challenge worthy of a red card......arguably a well executed half time plan.
