SOCCEROOS coach Holger Osieck has all but ruled out skipper Lucas Neill of Australia's clash with New Zealand at Adelaide Oval tomorrow.
Osieck today gave the strongest suggestion that Neill, who has a nagging groin problem, would be saved for Tuesday night's clash against Serbia in Melbourne.
Brett Emerton is tipped to captain an Australian team tomorrow that will include Michael Zullo, who will start at left fullback in the absence of the injured David Carney.
New Zealand only arrived in Adelaide today, having lost 3-0 to Mexico in Denver on Thursday.
Despite the Kiwis' tiredness, Osieck said he was wary of an All Whites' ambush.
