Team of the year

Post by batumgoesthedynamite »

I assume at end of year presentation there will be a premier league team of the year. I think it would be great if there was a State League team of the year as well. Would give the girls more exposure, and generate more interest in the competition as well. Afterall it is an elite league!

Great idea.... I'd def. go along to something like that....

Maybe it could be the opener to the Charity Cup game next year - however then if there are players in both teams who would you play for?!?!!?

Maybe it should be the charity cup and not the winners of the cup and season....

Sort of defeats the purpose really when you dont actually have the best of each out.

I agree, have it as separate thing from the Lady Reds, otherwise will take some off the shine of the game. Have it prior to the W League season starting, and whoever is the Lady Red's coach, should be invited to watch the game.

I agree, and it would be an interesting game,as both teams would be made up of players who have never played together during the season, would make for a kind off level playing field. You would think the State team would struggle to match the Premier team for pace. ( in my opinion )
