STATE AMATEUR TEAM

Post by KING NUGGETT »

What's happening with the State Amateur Team? Is it because were not affiliated with the FFSA that we can't compete in the State Championships?
If so it's a complete joke we'd smash them with the players we have at the moment...

SAASL DIV.1 CHAMPIONS 73,75,78,02,10,11,13
CHALLENGE CUP WINNERS 74,75,80,08,10,11,13
SAASL DIV.1 RES. CHAMPIONS 71,75,77,78,79,94,11,13
RES. CUP WINNERS 73,75,76,13
CHAMPIONS OF CHAMPIONS 10

Point is how do you know they aren't?

They could have even more talent!!

All hypothetical anyway because won't happen due to the FFA/FFSA/SAASL issues.

That the best you can do Nugget?

And here I was thinking that you actually had a brain.

My original post was this;

Point is how do you know they aren't?

They could have even more talent!!

To which it was edited;

Point is how do you know they aren't?

They could have even more talent!!

All hypothetical anyway because won't happen due to the FFA/FFSA/SAASL issues.

So go climb up a tree and play with your imaginary friends.

There was talk on 5RPH a few weeks ago about the FFSA fielding a State team with CSL players only.

Would definately be a quality State Team this year with the likes of Day, Brooks, Morrison, Campbell, Stam etc.
We are Liverpool Football Club and the expectations are so high.

This bullsh*t between the SAASL & FFSA needs to be sorted, we all need to be protesting for a solution for the betterment of the game otherwise this stalemate will continue for years!

Wouldn't have helped the case that SAASL were playing a part in the Breakaway League.

Hopefully it opens a few of their eyes - doubt it though.

I never mentioned who approached who.

Of course the clubs initiated it - because they wanted to make a stand.

Fact is the SAASL were playing a part in the Breakaway League if it went ahead, and Carter, along with everyone else knows this.

So wouldn't do much to ease the tension between the two camps.

In actual fact I spoke to Bill Baily in regards to this & he said the SAASL had been approached & they told the disgrunted clubs that they could help them,
because they wanted to mend bridges not break them down any more than they already were.

I don't doubt Bill's good intentions, but knowing Carter, it would've had the reverse effect.
