How about parents shut up.

Post by Barca4life10 »

So i was at my sons training when one of the parents told him to pass the ball. I got extremely annoyed at the stupid parent as my son is going through a hard time as his best friend is in hospital seriously ill. How about the parents let the kids play.

I'm with you! Parents should just watch the game, and keep comments to themselves.

Tell your son/daughter not to listen to anyone but the coach.

Franco, we will teach you, just stay with us......

I'm with Johny, the child should only listen to their coach, and all parents should go get a coffee or beer, and watch from a distance

And if the coach heard the parent, he should tell the parent to please refrain from 'coaching' from the sideline.....which I have had to do a couple of times this year already

your all right hope the kids friend gets better . im coaching older kids and sometimes parents emotions get the better of them, i let it go unless it becomes every 5 mins then i nicely say you got calm down. but most of the time they dont even know they are doing it. so sometimes they need a nice word from a parent or coach all should be good .enjoy the season all.

Atleast they said pass, I know parents that never say a word until their child has the ball, any other time there is no team cheering or anything.

Ok, put yourself in a Childs shoes, in a single split second during a game when he gets the ball, the following gets bombarded at them all at once ......

Coach..... 'dribble !!'

His own parent .... 'shoot !!'

Another parent ..... 'pass !!'

In his own liitle mind .... 'oh no, what do I do, don't stuff up, please just don't stuff up'

Now, you keep doing what you think is right, seeing you can't see a problem with parents yelling things out ..... dont let me sway your decision

Parents should coach as much as possible from the side lines, especially mothers, after all they are the ones that went through that child birth thing and have every right to take control....apparently!
And with fathers, well it's from your DNA that all those skills came from (the dominant gene  ) so why not show it off  Dont worry about "there's no "I" in team, there's heaps of "I's" in "individual brilliance" 8)
It's a battle for the buck and only a select few kids get through, so it might as well be your kid, don't worry what the experts say coz when you're rolling in the millions you can blow a big fat rasberry :P and say I told you so
The more coaches the merrier I say, and there's a lot of fun to be had watching confused kids........oh and little Billy standing all alone at right full back getting swooped by magpies........someone draw eyes on the back of his head to stop the attacks :(

It's really not that bad :D

Parents need to shut up !!!! Seriously bring ya kid to training and games then let coaches do the rest...

Also for all those Parents that on the way to training or games in the car or whatever that are giving their son or daughter coaching tips..... shut up please.... the best tip to give them is go and "enjoy yourself and try your best." Also for all those parents that are super critical after games/training on the way home in the car...Shut up and just be positive for goodness sake don't knock the kid, the kids team mates or the coach.....

Already this year I have seen a Parent sent off, by his own team of parents, had to ask a Parent to stop coaching several times, had a young player say at half time when giving a specific task to do in the 2nd half " but my dad wants me to ......" and the opposite to what they are being coached, and this isn't the first time......Far out !!!

Parents if you really want to coach go and get qualified, put the time into learning and trying to do the best by all and the game not just your own kid... !!

Parents and enjoy watching your kids play the game.... Seriously!!!!! Do your part by getting them to bed early, eat well, extra training with coaches, being the taxi and just enjoy the ride but........ PLEASE SHUT UP !!!!

:( just spoke to another mate about the game  what an embarrassment for strikers  I hear that there's going to be a report from the referee about the coach having a go at him during & after the game, the linesman also & couple of parents. Very poor, that's two different accounts from people from different clubs :(

Pretty sure the game finished 4-4.
I'm gonna guess that Croydon scored a last minute equaliser from the penalty spot. It was during time added on (which there shouldn't be in Juniors) the player actually tripped outside the box, got up, took the penalty which hit the crossbar and bounced off the keepers' head and slowly rolled over the line. Only half the ball went over the line but a goal was given anyway because the ref was biased toward the team who equalised. I just made all that up in case you hadn't twigged but do you get my drift?
