Beograd Amateur Pre-Season Cup

Beograd are pleased to announce the inaugural "Beograd Pre-Season Tournament 2011".

The pre-season tournament will be held on Feb 20 and finals to be played on feb 27 at Frank Mitchell Park (Minns St East and Todville St Woodville West).

This will be a round robin tournament. The teams playing in this years pre-season tournament include:

• Budapest Amateur Soccer Club
  Adelaide Asteras Amateur Soccer Club
  Macedonia Amateur Soccer Club
  Beograd Amateur Soccer Club

There will be plenty of food, drinks and hopefully some good soccer played. A great opportunity for the teams to have a run about too, hopefully trial new signings and enjoy some food and drinks before and after games. For more information, please message me.

Anyone welcome to come down and watch, the tournament games will be played throughout the day.

Only if they play with no offside - we all know he has the skill to take players on,doesnt need to always be 5 metres goal side of the last defender,when he can dribble around them.

It Should be a great tournament. Zafran coaching Asteras playing against Macedonia (who he used to coach).

It is intended for an exhibition match played as well encompassing Bs/Cs players from Beograd along with another club(s) who are keen to field a Bs/Cs side to have a run. Meaning there will be a game going all all day

This tournament shoudl be good in seeing Zellie at 47 and fitter than about 95% of the competitors and team mates

No he hasnt, I am not denying he is a good skilful player,who can be lazy,needs to understand how offside works. I have run the line in some games he has played, and he gets so far offside,it's ridiculous. What he does though,when his team is attacking,he runs towards the halfway line,pretends to go for the ball ( while still goalside of the last defender )and then dummies it for an overlapping player to run onto,so I put the flag up,and he abuses me ? ...he needs to learn what interfere-ing with play is. I spoke to the Ref at half time,wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing,and the Ref said it was okay, Zellie eventually became frustrated and got booked.
What was really interesting,even his supporters who were near me for half a game,were telling him you cant do that. He is a very talented player, why doesnt he stay goalside of his player and dribble past them ?

I don't think it's that big a deal if he's off call it. He's a big boy he can take it. He'd have to be up there for total goals scored in SAASL.
