Alice Cooper at Wembley Arena, June 1972. A fledgling Roxy Music were the support act.

I got taken to see Kiss in København as a child in 1979 or 80. With my own money, The Jesus And Mary Chain at Canterbury Court in 1985.

Cliff Richard at Apollo Stadium

First concert with friends, not parent/s : KISS at Adelaide Oval.

Typed a fake letter to mine and my best friend's parents saying we had won tickets to the concert so they'd let us go.
Guy from our class at school was a member of the Kiss Army and had slept overnight firstly to get us tickets (no internet ticketing in those days!), and then slept at the gate and let us into the queue when we got there...got pushed through the gates to the front..got to TOUCH Paul Stanley and caught Gene Simmon's towel, then got into a punch up with some bitch who tried to steal it off me. When I got it home, was ripped to shreds, but still had Gene Simmon's 'blood' on it and took pride of place in my bedroom until we moved house and dad thought it was junk and threw it out....

There was The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Skyhooks, Cruel Sea to name a few.

Nobody was leaving until Angels came back on for an encore. After about 10mins of fans screaming it out they came back for a few more songs. I was at the front, great fun.

Won tickets to Cold Chisel's Last Stand in 1983 on SAFM. First time I had entered into a radio station competition and thought it was wise not to use my real name in the competition. But when I went to collect the tickets on the day of the concert from SAFM they, quite rightly, would not hand over the tickets unless I provided them with a drivers license that exactly matched the name on the tickets. By this time the remaining shows had sold out and so I missed out.
