Bale made Maicon and Lucio look like Erik Edman for an entire game. That is a Tottenham team built for Europe.

Re: Spurs vs Inter
I wonder if all the Huddlestone haters have worked it out yet. We're a far better team with him in it than out of it.
What price Bale? Hope we hang onto him.

The Spurs fans were chanting "taxi for Maicon".
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

It's funny that Rafa was only saying yesterday that Bale was not unstoppable and he wasn't worried.
Ripped a new one for Maicon tonight.

Gotta love our 'Arry. He's a real fucking football manager. His role in Tottenham’s final two goals put to bed fear, not least his crowning moment when he knocked the ball past Lucio and ran him, in schoolboy fashion. Redknapp’s cry of ‘Go on, son’ could be heard from the stand.

Re: Spurs vs Inter
british players dont necessarily favour moves overseas regardless of money, so lets aaume he stays in the EPL. with spurs not wanting to sell to a london club, that rules out chelsea and arsenal. noone with ambition would go to liverpool
so that leaves manu and manc.
he could go to manc for $$$$ but will choose manu cause its manu.....

Re: Spurs vs Inter
Bale had a terrific game and I'm not going to take that away from him but you would think a defender of Maicons standard would get it after the first run that Bale has no right foot

Re: Spurs vs Inter
Tail end of last year he was exceptional and has played OK this season, but I think PL defenders are more aware of him and close him down quicker. Once he gets into his stride he's hard to stop.Chelsea4thewin wrote:wow bale

Harry also thinks that maybe the effort of a midweek game takes it out of him a bit.

EPL teams know how to handle him, European teams have been really naieve with Bale, in the Premier League he barely has any space to run in, they cut him off, in Europe he gets acres because they dont put two players on him.

Re: Spurs vs Inter
When u get a club like united after u it's hard to turn down, n whn u get offered the number 11, well that might even be harder. Fergie said there's one player they tried getting in January but the club wasn't prepared to sell in January. Fergie didn't say which club, or what player and not even what position. It's all top secret at this stage as he knows if teams like city n Chelsea get a sniff then they can just bid what they want.
Spurs r out feeder club ;)
