SAASL Website

Post by Chelsea4thewin »

what a joke

with a lot of teams playing for promotion etc, you would think they would get last weeks results up

its only Friday

a) results were available in the Advertiser on Monday.
b) their office phone number is 83537355
c) you can email the office saasl@ozemail.com.au and they will provide them to you

But yes, I agree it's a joke.

Were no div 1 or 2 games on the weekend. I guess they feel its only important to update the site when these teams play? pretty p!ss poor for sure.

Perhaps the FFSA could offer some assistance - this Mr Michael Carter seems a helpful sort of a chap?

Some results are incorrect. I have sent an email detailing which ones they are with no reply and no correction.

at that time of the season when many are thinking of promotion and relegation.
no up to date league tables and results.
postponed games from over a month ago, still not played. please don't say we are going back to the nightmare days of posponed games being played after the season, when one team can affect promotion and relegation , and the other team doesn't care, and fields a weakened team , or doesn't turn up.
i've seen teams relegated because of this, the league brought in a rule that games had to be played within a set time.
if the teams couldnt arrange a venue, it would be played at headquarters.

The FFSA has a full-time media officer who updates tables and sends out press releases with scores, tables and best players almost instantly after all scheduled games for the day are completed (i'm on the email list).

The SAASL has plenty of money in the bank, I'm sure they could hire someone part-time on a Saturday and Sunday (and occasional Wednesday) whose job description is to manage results, the website and tables, and email interested parties on a Saturday evening and Sunday evening.

It's so late now that I'm wondering if someone (ie the person who knows how to update the website) is really sick. If so, then I hope it's not serious & they are better soon.

The league have a network issue or something like that with the website and the person who is meant to be fixing it seems to be avoiding the job atm.

They should employ Robbo to do the site, he generally has the tables updated on a Sunday night, (well done Robbo) and does a great job,

They have plenty of cash in the bank, to pay him a nominal fee, whereby he can update it Sundays, and then once results are ratified by the league he could make any amendments where required.

Vote 1 Robbo !!!

I contacted the SAASL on Monday and was told that they are having technichal problems uploading data. They are working with the people who run their site. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.

SAASL are idiots... they are quick to get onto clubs who havent paid fines or owe money but when it comes to providing a service to clubs they dont really care. Its also different rules for different clubs.
