You have tried unsuccessfully once to undermine OUR 46YR OLD ASSOCIATION & in doing so you lost any credibility with me. By the way I'm a nobody who you have no need to speak to, & if you are the real Mr Carter with true desire to fix the farcical situation we have you should resume talks with the SAASL because they run this competition not the Clubs & they have done successfully for 46Yrs.

Mr Nugget, we do not deal with organisations, that are not aligned with the directives of the FFA. I would be happy to sit with you and explain our goals and objectives for Football in this state, and hopefully guide you and your councils of clubs in the right direction.
you wont align with organisations (your way or the highway) give clubs that have been
around for over 40 years guidence in the right direction ( are we doing it all wrong ???)

Our objective is to help the SAASL grow and move forward by a gathering of clubs to bandy around idea's and thoughts of improving the current set up, after which we will seek their guidance on said matters. If the FFSA wants to hold a meeting to discuss their philosophy on whats best for football then hold your own meeting and invite clubs. Last meeting you held that I attended was a sham and the meeting shut down early without questions being answered. Hence the dismal failure of the Metropolitan League .

I think that this Michael Carter guy has some good ideas and maybe it wouldn't hurt to listen and see what he has to say?

I'm sure the real Michael Carter has half a brain and wouldn't resort to doing what is going on in this thread.

Very much doubt Mr.Michael Carter is the same Michael Carter we all despise. Yet has the same arrogant persona, so whoever you are you have him down to a tee.
If you are who you claim to be and turned up at at Council of Clubs meeting I for one would not feel comfortable with you being in attendance. And as someone that has a close relationship with many Div1 Sunday clubs and the heirachy of these clubs I know they feel the same. We are very much pro SAASL and the well run affordable competition they oversee. Our aim is to help it grow bigger and better. Maybe an invitation to FFSA clubs to come to our meeting would be more appropriate.

Surely, has to be a pisstake, as there are, a large number, of, grammatical errors, in "his posts".
Also, you would think the best approach would be to contact the topic starter (as he obv has some position) in a private message rather than blabbering it over the open forum.

Mr Nugget; Mr Kitchimo; Mr Outlaw; Mr Jay - who the hell addresses people like this haha

nuggett69 wrote:Dear Mr. Carter
Just wondering how is it that you want to come on to this forum & backdoor the Association that your trying to get on board with? May-be it would be a good idea for the FFSA to employ a mediator to resolve your differences with our Association rather than trying to backdoor them as you tried & failed in the past. I believe 99% of Clubs & club members are happy with the SAASL & how it's run by volunteers sure there is room for improvement but they are not looking to cash grab. If I were you I would do the best thing for Football in South Australia & resign.

Nuggett69
Mr Nugget, I am only interested in meeting with senior representatives of the main clubs that have formed this Amateur Council of Clubs. I don't intend to enter from the back door, as my colleagues and I would like the opportunity to present to your council a plan and strategy for you all to go forward, and to resolve all your issues, that have been mentioned within this thread. Do you hold a position?
...but you are happy to deal with clubs that are aligned with orgnaisations that are not aligned with the directives of the FFA?

Michael Carter, I doubt you are the "Michael Carter" of the FFSA but if you are that person, please be aware that the SAASL Management Committee has provided and has offered to provide member clubs full disclosure of its communications with the FFSA. As such, the Management Committee and clubs have a joined up view, and the clubs have endorsed the approach taken to date by Management Committee. I therefore doubt there is anything you or your colleagues can provide to SAASL clubs that would change their view, and I think your "back door" approach through this forum - and it is through the "back door" despite what you think - is unprofessional.

Question for you: if you are so keen to extend the hand of friendship and goodwill, why is it that you have ignored all written and verbal approaches by the South Australian Amateur Soccer Refeeres' Association? From my perspective, the only thing you have done for refereeing is to dismantle the Referees Standing Committee, which included representatives from all bodies in this state. It is my understanding that you have also denied SAASRA access to training resources etc. Is this part of your strategy for moving forward?

And in case you are wondering who I am, I am not a member of any football club, refererring body or any other football organisation. I represent no-one but me.

Agenda

***How do we improve the league - ideas and general brain storm

***Issues that clubs have - listing main issues which can be recorded and worked through over a period of time( obviously some debates on these areas)

***Future direction views on/ general concensus on - EDJSA , FFSA etc..

***Summary - Priorities and establishing resolution on fixing by SAASL .e.g. work out the top 3 or 5 issues and get them fixed asap.. etc...

keep it simple 4 main items and build it on these, anyway my thoughts

Some good ideas have been put forward but I was thinking more along the lines of how clubs can help and advise other clubs, do we all find the same problems arising, can SAASL help us? Wheres the sandwiches and free beer?

The Amateur Council of Clubs is an idea that was created by some club committee members and Presidents of clubs to create a group that can approach the SAASL about larger issues and areas that the clubs would like to see improvements in.

It doesn't have any authority but rather creates a voice to try and find resolutions to some of the issues we are presented with at the moment. One of those issues would be the SAASL V FFSA and it might be best if the clubs have a discussion about it first before they speak to the FFSA.

I'm sure every club will have different opinions as each club is in its own unique position and will have different needs to others.
Mr Jay, we understand your view, but we wish to be given the opportunity to sit in your discussions, in order to inform you correctly of our situation and to address your issues then and there. We also believe that by sitting together we can all discuss where we want to see football in this state.

how bout worrying about your own sad state of affairs especially the way the womans comp is going and has been handled the last few years, even though its probably not him,,,I feel better now..lol

So what is it you people think is WRONG with the SAASL?
We have an organisation that is run professionally.
The SAASL has lots of money put away for when or if times go bad.
Council of clubs, what a joke! Got a problem speak up a the SAASL MEETINGS.
