Can someone please explain how one club ie Adelaide Uni etc can have more than two teams participating in the cup? And yet, there is no cup for teams with only one team (ie div 5-9C2)

Croatia (div 6) were drawn in the cup. They forfieted it though. C teams don't get drawn in the Cup. Adelaide Uni and Old Ignatians have more than one team participating in first team/reserve team division so they play in the cups more or less as though they were different clubs (players cannot be interchanged between the clubs of different divisions).

So basically, if your club have enough players for 4 or 5 teams, you can have multiple teams in the cup but clubs who have three teams (ie div 8, 9C1 and 9C2) cannot have a seperate dedicated cup of their own?

Surely this is hypocritical?

They don't have a seperate cup they compete in the Senior and Reserves cups however they play as a seperate club. In theory this would put them at a dissadvantage anyway on account of the fact that if they were good enough to play in the A's or B's at the club they would play in those teams.

The reason that there is no C team cup is well beyond me as I beleive your 3rd tier squad should have their own just like the O/35's(although I don't agree with how their cup is run). There are enough C grade teams to compete in a small cup that could start later to finish when finals do and would mean that everyone gets a go in the cup regardless of what team they play for.

Nope because these guys can't change teams all year.

For example, your in the Uni Div 4 A team and your playing really well, you can't be promoted to the Div 1 team in the cup or league.

They treat the teams as seperate clubs. Uni have something like 9 teams and OISC have 7 (Kitch will give you the correct numbers) so they are unique clubs and circumstances.

Uni has 7 in SAASL and 3 in CSL and 2 O/35's

Also you can move between the teams in the league games, but you can't play in a catch up round game unless you've played a certain number of games for that team already (from memory)

You can move between the teams in the league, but not in the Cup.

Next season we will do a special deal with the SAASL that will allow us to use the Jabulani at all home matches.
