thought the same, but then cahills wasn't as bad as Grella, that was a shocking 2 footed lunge.

It was high, sky high, so maybe a blue card?

it was a night game, so by that reasoning it should have been black

i thought the ref was fine, he didnt want to send anyone off as it was a friendly, however the grella tackle was shocking, the guys a wanker, its a career ending tackle

maybe on replays Cahills didnt look so bad, but I'd almost guarantee that at a World Cup that most refs would give that a red based on how bad it looked live

so yes 2 red cards...shocking display by the Socceroos and shocking sportsmanship after going a goal down

getting it out of their system early... what better team to do it to than the kiwis?
possible exception of England... replace Leo Bertos with Rooney/Gerrard/Terry and Grella and Cahill would recieve standing ovations

Grella in my eyes was definitely a red and like Robbie Slater said, if it were a competitive fixture it may have been.

Cahill's tackle wasnt as bad and i think a yellow was suitable for that tackle although it was reckless.
