What were the facillities and pitch like up in Pirie??
Not bad at all. Only thing is the ground very soft seem to sink into ground and alot of open plains around and when wind starts up brings alot of dust into playing field. Went back to their club afterwards down the road had a good meal great bunch of people.

Good size change room showers toilets and canteen at ground with a small grand stand.

Downs 7 Fulham 1
Downs attack basically dominated from the start when Malia was brought down in the box but no penelty given in the first minute. Cheers to Fulham lads after the game for coming in for a couples of beers.

Reserves were held to a 1-1 draw but had their chances to win it, Fulham seemed to be resigned to whinging to the ref for soft free kicks at any oppertunity. Midfield for Fulham were thinking they were frickin super stars and complained for ever tackle they lost , my advice would be toughen up princess's and play a game , a mans game , not a soft fairy type game. No 6 you should rethink your attitude and why you play because you were the biggest whinging bitch I have reffed in 20 years, dont actually recall you winning any ball or putting any ball to feet. Seriously you are a footballer with no skill yet you thought you were a superstar getting bad rub of the green. Fulham would be a better team without soft men in the team like you. . Always thought Parafield were the worst whingers but Fulham Midfield you are the kings of whing.

well i actualy got it wrong...they werent questionable they were blatant acts of cheating even though they were 2 up and were looking like the stronger team anyways...but its ok theres our home game to come.....good luck to the vista boys they were better in the b's but those who predicted their A's are good for promotion....Pffffft
god help us if maco's win a game, anyone would have thought that you guys just won the league with the draw. Credit must go to your striker who took both chances of the game well. Bring on Friday night now for Vista, local derby under lights @ TTG should be a belter, both coming off disappointing results will want to bounce back.
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

Yeah you got pulled up for offside quite a lot in that game. Having said that, the ones I was in line with the play the linesman got right.

Sunday Div 3
A's: South Coast 5 - 1 Asteras
B's: South Coast 5 - 0 Asteras

B's:
South Coast came out strong in the B's and moved the ball well, didnt really look like conceding a goal all day. Sth Coast moved the ball around up the park and finished quite well. It could have been more.
Golden Globe to the Asteras B team Keeper who managed to pick up a yellow card for 'Simulation'

A: Game looked very even early with Asteras pushing Sth Coast deep into their own half for the 1st 15mins, South coast got the advantage with a good 1st goal and never looked back.

2nd half Downs the better side and when Fulham went down to 10 men it was when the goals started going in.

Best to get a result like that early because I can assure u Fulham wont be beaten like that again.
Total bollocks....Went down to 10 men when it was 6-1 with about 15 mins to go

Well i ran the line in the 2nd half for the B's and I have to comeback and say that the penalty you gave to the Downs in the 2nd half (when it was 1-1 and 3 mins to go) was the biggest piece of cheating I had seen in a long while from a b's ref.

You were standing at the half way line and blew for the penalty when the tackle was clearly outside the box - yes it was a free kick but not a penalty.

I was in line and as the linesman told u it was outside the box and you ignored me even though you were standing at the half way line when you called it and could not have possibly have seen if it were in the box.

The scuff mark you told me that was there was only just an excuse you used because u blew for the penalty straight away from the halfway line.

And there were scuff marks all over the pitch so how you came up with that 1 I dont know.

The penalty was saved which was justice I thought.

Only putting this down to show there are 2 sides to every story.

+1. I was playing for Fulham and was 2 meters from the incident and was playing my first game with contact lenses and it was a foul but CLEARLY within a foot from the 18 yard line. When I turned around and saw the ref standing in the centre circle point for a penalty I was gobsmacked. Blatant disregard for the linesmen.

FYI I thought ref had a terrific first half and kept the game free flowing and moving but in the second clearly had a brain snap and his emotion was reffing the game. Downs reserves came out in the second half and played hard and dirty...clipping, bumping and pushing players off the ball. It's something called give and take...if you can give and cant take then stop whinging and get on with it. Enough said it was a fair result at the end of day. The penalty save... well justice was served in the end.

And I have eight screws in my knees and a broken bone in my foot so keeping up is difficult especially late in games but I have very good eyes and the foul was in the box I was only thirty yards away not half a mile. Over all a fair result for both teams.

i was at the match of the round between Farm and Florina and saw a fairly entertaining game of football where Farm took there chances and got up 3-1. Florina never looked like they would get going after the first 15 a well deserved win by the farm

Ingle Farm V Salisbury Florina

A great day out for the club with all 3 male teams getting wins and the girls getting their first point ever.

A's 3-1
I was on BBQ duty again so only saw parts of the game. The ball spent a long time in our half in the first 20 mins and I was worried. We broke through with a great run forward and had a shot well saved only for Dave Ennis to pick up the crumbs and score. We got a little more confident after that on the ball and went in to half time 1 up and sharing the balance of play. In the second half, Paul Jones scored, (not sure how) and with about 20-25 mins to go, Florina got a well worked goal from a Trevor Elliot header. With about 5-10 to go, Matthew Cocks scored to secure the 3 points. From what I was told, we played well, moved the ball around well and defended solidly.

B's 1-0
Saw nothing of the game and was told it was scrappy and we did enough to win 1 nil. Outlaw with his second for the year.

C's 6-0
The first 10 mins Florina looked excellent but we slowly worked our way into the game and a couple of good performances from some of our kids saw us win comfortably. We played much smarter this week than last and the bigger, wider pitch suited us better than Vikings ground. Big improvements from most players this week and they boys did everything I asked them to.

Womens v Para Hills East

Our girls came from 1 goal down to pick up their first point. 14 players out playing this week which is great. They have the week off now.

Cheers to Florina for hanging around after the game and supporting the Bar and BBQ all day. Great bunch of guys with many of the old boys, Uncle Cracker, Brooksy and Bert there till well past 6:30pm. Good luck for the rest of the year.

Also sorry to Prez, didn't get to see him much yesterday.

well, well, well. not sure what it is marooned but you seem to losing that tact we all know n love ya for and have traded it up for out n out whinging with a dash of hypocrisy. :D
surely you can not justify disregarding a linesman call (when he is inline with play) on the basis that he made some strange calls in the next game. i mean, with those psychic powers you should go on the road and make a small fortune. and yes i must agree that your previous rant on the fulham "superstar midfield" ( especially #6) does give the impression that emotions were certainly creeping into the game. this is all just coming out a little too soon after your friendly suggestions to the good men of florina on how to have a credible b's ref. o well, lets just hope you bring your A game for our little anzac clash on sunday ok mate.

Fulham goal to Fitton on the back stick i think... Down to ten men after 2nd yellow around 60 mins
Someone else is Adam Malia...

Boys played really well, defended the whole game as if it was 0v0. Could have and should have been a few more than the seven with a couple of lads missing a few easy opportunities. Dont want to say too much on Fulham as i'm sure it was just an off day and im sure they will bounce straight back from the defeat as they do have some tasty players running round for them.

Hopefully the Downs boys can keep it going for the Farm on Anzac Day, should be a cracker...

Agree with that. Marooned refereed a few games I've played in and never had a problem with him. He can't move around much but calls it as he sees it. I haven't agreed with every decision but no one ever will but wouldn't of called him a cheat, just a difference of opinion

No complaints with your summary - we were outplayed (more so in the 2nd half).

We got pumped 5-1 by Florina last year and picked ourselves up after that to finish the season off well so hopefully we have our bad 1 out of the way now.

I must admit, watching the game from the outside it looked like the Vista A's swapped shirts at half time. Very good first half with a few chances that they should have put away. Dodgy keeper for Maco's wasnt tested much after that.
Maco's walked all over Vista 2nd Half to the amazement of the crowd, and i do agree, very well finished chances by the striker for maco's especially his 2nd. Did shut the crowd up with that strike.
And that's the game, if you have the chance you need to put it away and well Maco's did.

Will be a blinder on Fri night and will definately be watching. Vista need to improve.......

Seriously - first half was refereed without fault. All I can say in the second Downs Bs coach must have instructed his players to go out and hurt us physically because the game turned to prison rules and we knew he likes to play the advantage but there were some strong bumps and tackles on the ball that he seemed to just swallow his whistle and not call it back for a free kick. We knew it was going to be a physical contest as Downs don't have a reputation for being marshmallows. When we dished it back they just whinged. Tough contest, very good team but lacked discipline. Fair result.

BTW Their captain was all class. They should follow his example.

Is the captain bit a joke?

Ceratinly did get physical in the second half with yellows and reds dished out all over the place, but no one was injured as far as I could tell... Feeling it at work today and it definately was both ways as you mentioned, plenty of downs players with stud marks and brusing - sure there are plenty of sore Fulham bodies today too.

Just quietly I thought #6 was a classy player and had some great 1 touch play through the midfield.... Not the opponent you want to play on every week..

That is quite a serious accusation which I will gaurantee is not at all true in the slightest - I doubt very much that there are any coaches of any team that do that - this is amateur league FFS.
Never argue with an idiot - they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
