Adelaide Villa 6
BOSA 0
Villa dominated all game, Bosa didn't look like scoring tbh. Very dissapointing to see the side they put out, maybe injuries??

A: Vipers FC 1 Modbury 2
B: Vipers FC 2 Modbury 5
C1: Vipers FC 7 Modbury 2
(A) Scorer: Matsouliadis
(B) Scorer: Ganiaris (2)
Really a well-fought match from both sides. Modbury hit the crossbar and the post (twice) and had a 2-0 lead in the 2nd half. Vipers got used to the game quite early and had chances but only got on top of Modbury after scoring with 15 to go. Our striker was pulled by the shirt during a one-on-one and fluffed the chance, and the ball went back up the other end when Modbury scored their second - that's the way the cookie crumbles I guess. Well fought by Vipers in the Prem debut, Caverley pulled off an audacious scissor kick at the end that went passed the post and Kali had a snap shot sail just over...close but not close enough in the end. Fired up for Round 2!
B's pulled it back to 3-2 before letting in two late ones, room to improve. C1's were very convincing and look to go from strength to strength after last year. C2's still waiting for their debut!

A's Adelaide Uni 1-1 Sturt Marion
Both sides fairly rusty, uni should of won it with some glaring misses second half.

8-2 with 20ish to go. open slather in the last 20, we could have had 15 or more if not being caught offside all the time or missing easy one-on-ones.

A's MA Hawks 2 Africa Allstars 0
B's MA Hawks 3 Africa Allstars 0
Seniors match started out evenly but it was Africa that should've taken the lead with 2 golden chances. Hawks followed up by hitting the crossbar before going 1 up just before the half. Second half saw chances up both ends with some good saves from both keepers. Hawks finished off the game in the 85th minute with a well worked goal.
Africa seem to have lost a lot of players from the last time we played them some 3 years ago. Maybe there was a wedding on
Good clean game by both sides. A bit scrappy at times but we are grateful for the result, and perhaps a bit fortunate

I thought your team would be playing Champions League by now? Wasn't it you that was telling us that you guys were not only going to win the league last year(finished 3rd) but probably win the Cup as well? So you guys got into div.2 by default(Burrindi Eagles), congrats, however i'm curios, what went wrong last year?

Cheers to the Vipers for all 3 games today, which were all played in good spirit and some great stuff played from both sides too. Noah hit the woodwork 3 times in the first half with a couple being pretty bloody spectacular, but got his just reward for our second later on. All up a great way to kick off the season for us with 6 away points and some good entertainment in all 3 games, especially a certain forumite's totally fukkin awesome penalty attempt in the C's... which landed in the Clovey car park just as we got there at 6 oclock.Lucas Leiva wrote:Sat Prem

Great performance from the Green and Gold today no question!! out played, out muscled and out classed a side looking beaten from the start...never in the contest after conceding a sloppy first goal almost directly from a corner. Hardly gave a yelp except for Mennilo's whinging all game...should have taken the loss on the chin instead of trying to hide behind his past glories....which means squat in this league buddy!!! (take a leaf out of Theo's book mate...a true sportsman). As for us....outstanding to say the least....2 incredible goals, one from Marco Scalzi from 30 mtrs...best goal i have ever witnessed from that distance....and a cracking volley on the turn from D Musci, rounding out the day with 4!!!! what a start and what a precedent for the rest of the competition......As big Galey says.........BRING ON SAINTS NEXT WEEK!!!!Chivas wrote:Adelaide Villa 6
