moore has been an international for years, i see no point in calling up a player for his first cap in his 30's for a world cup, would rather focus on youth

he may have been an international for years but there's a few problems...

1. he's slow
2. he completely out of form
3. he doesnt have a club at present.
4. he struggled in the A League this year. You want this quality on the world stage?

can you imagine a Rooney, Messi or Ronaldo running at Craig Moore... it doesnt paint a pretty picture...

and you dont groom youth 2 months before a world cup. You take experience with you.

plenty of time to groom these kids once the world cup is over...

the point i was making is he is an international with 50 caps in his 30's not a player who has just played his first season out of australia a 30, i'm not a fan of the hun moore but that is why he was going to be chosen

but who's in better form at present? Moore or Sasa?

at present time, Moore wouldnt be able to handle Matthew Leckie let alone a Wayne Rooney. I'm not saying Sasa could deal with Rooney either but Moore is done at the international level IMO.

With out current defensive stocks I cant see us getting out of the group stages to be honest...

still i say a youth player like williams or spiranovic, or a player in and around the team like north or milligan is better

maybe if it was for qualifiers or the asian cup, but the WC requires the best players available no matter what there age or how many caps they have.
The starting CB's at the WC should be Neil and Ognenovski with Milligan first choice backup.
