SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
Um, didn't I hear NUMEROUS times that there would be a new website and the whole fixture schedule online today?

Yep. You'd want to get in early to book those flights, team buses and hotels.lfc cfc wrote:would wanna hope so with only a few weeks til the season starts it would be nice to see who wen and were we are playing! and the cup rounds to!Jay Walking wrote:It was said on Monday night that it probably wouldn't be up until this evening.but im not holding my breath on it!

Division menu still needs to be put in an order that makes some sort of sense. Can it really be that hard?B-Boy wrote:The fixtures have now been put on the website

did hear brahma may be entering c team in saturday division due to excessive numbers at the club this year
Re: SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
How did Handorf C's get into division five? Shouldn't that have gone to FC Adelaide?
Actually it doesn't make sense they field a team in division four without a reserve team and someho have a team in division five. Wouldn't it make more sense to have them both in division four (first and reserves)?

Saturday Division 4 looks very weird. Looks like Saturday Division 4 is a mix of one-team clubs, firsts and reserves, C/D teams, and C teams.

Clubs in division 4B would only have a 10 game season. RIDICULOUS!!

Was at the meeting tonight and Alex said he was hoping for the Site to be up and running tonight but the designer has had a few things to sort out so they are now hoping to have it up by the end of the week.

Re: SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
Yeah we at brahma decided to put our previous C grade team in Saturdays due to now having 5 mens teams at the club. With only 1 pitch at our club and 3 C grade teams this was our only option. We were advised as all C grade divs were full, this was the only division available for us to enter a C team in on Saturdays. As mentioned looks like its a mismatch of A, B and C grades. Either way us has-beens, dreamers and never-was-beens are just happy we can still have a kickabout for our club.
Re: SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
if the move the other hahndorf team into div 4B, that gives another 2 games in 4B and gives a space in a c team league for brahma lodge.Brown paper bag crew wrote:Yeah we at brahma decided to put our previous C grade team in Saturdays due to now having 5 mens teams at the club. Big selling point for brahma lodge would be the ability to play saturday and sunday.

Yeah that makes sense. Although i do recall the divisional structure in the lower Sunday divisions last year changing about 2 weeks after the first release of fixtures. Which was handy as I had just spent the previous 2 weeks cutting and pasting every flippen round 1 by 1 to pin up at the club.
Re: SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
That happened to me too (and AHOS et al) with Saturday Division 6.Brown paper bag crew wrote:Hawkesy wrote:if the move the other hahndorf team into div 4B, that gives another 2 games in 4B and gives a space in a c team league for brahma lodge.

Apprently word on the street is FC Adelaide is struggling for players, and don't have enought for their A and B's let alone a C team.Hawkẹsy wrote:How did Handorf C's get into division five? Shouldn't that have gone to FC Adelaide?

I expect that now that the fixrures are out some clubs will be looking to make some changes, so as per previous years the final fixtures won't realy be around till just before kick off!

Re: SAASL Website & 2010 Fixtures...?
Division 5 has all the 'C' teams aligned with Division 1 (8 out of 10 teams) with two 'inclusions' (Hahndorf and Cove)
Division 6 has all the 'C' teams aligned with Division 2 (5 out of 10 teams) and Division 3 (3 out of 10 teams), Torrens Valley, and Vipers C2.
The best outcome for the SAASL would be to have Vipers (2) and Hahndorf (2) in Division 4, making it minimum 9 teams with Firsts and Reserves, and move one of the two remaining teams without Reserves into the 'C' or 'One Team Club' divisions (Brahma Lodge, Dragon Rangers). Obviously though Vipers and Hahndorf have requested to have seperate 'C' grade teams for their respective reasons. I'm sure it will work itself out, it generally does.

Also it seems like our paperwork got lost in the system and we have a C side with nowhere to play!
