Re: Breaking News
I heard that rumour as well, but obviously did not happen.
As a result, Div 1 goes to 8 teams and Div 2 goes to 9 while prems and ressies are 7 each

Re: Breaking News
Hardly breaking news - it's probably not unreasonable to assume that the info released last week showing PHK in Prems and Reserves was a ploy by FFSA to try and get PHK to change their mind and not drop to Div1 etc as PHK had requested.
When all is said and done you cant force a club to enter the prems & res comps if they simply dont have the players/resources, you simply have to work with them while they 'rebuild' or else there is the danger they may disappear all together.

Re: Breaking News
I agree with John Cena, at the time Toros were very young, enthusiastic and had hope of making a future impact and especially if just a couple of experienced players went there at that time.
However that is done now; I believe a 6 team Super League is the go to advance Womens Football in this state, a strong top division, will lead to a strong Premier Division involving other clubs. These Premier Division clubs to be sister clubs to the Super league Clubs and their top players be allowed to guest 3 or 4 times during the year.
If the top team in the Premier Division at the end of the season wishes to go to Super League it can have extra player concessions to be competitive. Or a team each from Far North and Deep South to bring it back to an 8 team Super league.
Take a step back for a year and do some real assesment as to where the future may be headed.

Re: Breaking News
That's an interesting idea, however it should be noted that the strongest teams in the Prems at the moment are independent of men's teams. There needs to be some incentive provided to the men's clubs by FFSA to take more of an interest in women's football. From looking at the premier league and the teams there that are the most consistent it seems obvious that being associated with a men's club doesn't produce a quality women's premier team and in fact, at the moment, might be detrimental.
Re: Breaking News
The most successful womens club over the past 8 years has been associated with an Amateur mens club. But yes not to many womens Prems team are associated with mens teams.

the problem then is going to be that the gap will be bigger between prems and div 1 .
