Article from SASI Website:
Four SASI Women's Footballers have been selected in the first Young Matildas (U20s) camp of 2010 to be held In Canberra from 11th-14th March.

Congratulations to the following SASI players who have developed through the local elite pathway including Junior SASI, State Teams, Adelaide Utd and the SASI Women's Football program

Nicole Calder
Angela Fimmano
Ashlee Faul
Georgia Macri

Angela and Ashlee in 2009 represented Australia and Young Matildas and Junior Matildas respectively with Nicole missing out with Glandular fever prior to the final Junior training camp. It will be Georgia Macri's first ever National team selection.

All players are hoping to be selected for a Home International series against New Zealand later in the year and ultimately selection for the World Qualification process through the Asian Football Conference.

Unfortunately doesn't look like Ang will be going - she was on crutches when I saw her on Monday afternoon.
Hope she is back to full fitness again soon, and remains in contention for a Young Matildas spot.

Good luck to Nicole, Georgia & Ash.

Thats very unfortunate news, but she is a great player, still young as well with a future ahead of her so hopefully it isnt a major setback for her international career. Good luck to the ones who are going, and lets hope to see a strong SA contingent for the series against NZ later this year :)

they have played AIS boys yesterday and will play ACT boys academy tomorrow before coming home. Sounds like things are going well for the SA girls which is good to hear.

I believe all 3 who went have been re-called for camp next weekend which is great news, shows they all impressed last weekend! Obviously as mentioned, Angela Fimmano is injured but id say would have definitely been called up as well if she werent injured.

good luck to them!
