Kewell.
Australia has never produced a player like him, and I doubt ever will again.

Viduka has never done anything at International, wheras Kewell has. No contest.
Cant really count what Viduka did at Celtic, becasue the Scottish league is crap.

Brilliant, but I wonder if he will be able to keep up the enthusiasm and development over the next 9 or so years before he gets to senior levelDUKE BLUE wrote:Jay Walking wrote:Who would you say is the better player when both were in their prime?

One would think "burn out" would be factored in somewhere along the line.
Time will tell.

Different players, different skills - great players in their prime.
I would go for Kewell, prefer his precision and 'subtlety' while playing.

Viduka...by a mile.
Pretty much backed up by guys who played with him for the Socceroos, e.g. the Kalac interview on Fox Sports FC a few weeks ago.

Re: Viduka V's Kewell
both players were great, particularly during the strong years at leeds
because kewell played for the reds i am more inclined to say that he is better but we never got to see his best due to extensive injuries that plagued his stay on merseyside
