Clubs that charge players

Just wondering what the 'going rate' is for clubs that charge players subscription fees, and what players get in return for those fees (socks etc). I remember seeing various fees on club websites throughout the years but I can't seem to be finding any regarding a 2010 structure.

I'm very much an advocate for players receiving free uniform annually with their subscription fees (socks, shorts, strip provided on the day).

(For the record, last year OISC charged $200 for students and $220 for adults, with each getting a free pair of socks (this covers SAASL registration). They also get the uniform provided for them on the day. If they didn't own club shorts from a previous year, they were required to purchase them at $20. When I first joined the club, I paid $200 but I got free shorts, socks, and a polo).

Which is why I want comparisons. Could you provide anymore info aside from hearsay?

Last season I beleive I paid an even $80 to EVSC and recieved socks and shorts, with the playing shirt supplied on the day and returned to the club straight after each game to be washed..

2010 Fees (To be confirmed. This is to be used as a guide only)
The player fees for 2010 are shown below: (A $40 discount for early payment is applicable when FULL payment is received by 30 April 10)

A deposit of $80 is required from all players before the club will register them. Failure to pay this deposit will mean that you will not be eligible for official League or Cup fixtures. Special arrangements for payment of fees can only be arranged through the Treasurer. To qualify for the student rate, players will need to show to the Treasurer a student card that is valid for 2010. The deadline for full payment is 31 May 10.

Pretty sure last year I payed about $130 at Munno Para which got a pair of socks with Shirt and shorts provided on the day. Also had to pay $5 on match day towards referees fee....

Last season the Grove charged $140 per player, which includes SAASL rego and a sublimated shirt, club polo shirt, shorts and socks which the player keeps all of it. The club pays for all referees.

Equipment costs, training balls, match balls, nets, cones etc

And then your committee will work out all the costs divide it by the number of players and teams you have and you will get a rough figure..

included sublimated shirt..(returned to club at the end of the year)

players kept. socks, shorts,polo and bag.

fee also included SAASL standard regos.

I think it can be hard to compare some clubs as it may depend on such things as if they have a bar and how much they make on it, and what sort of sponsorship the club can attract.

Yeah, obviously. A number of other clubs would also have 'parent' clubs (Feds) or associations (ethnic groups) or have big sponsorship agreements. Our fees are predominantly a result of our significant ground hire costs. Everything else that ROBBO has mentioned obviously comes into it.

everyone is welcome bacon-8 and bring a couple of mates as well. we know that pulling players away from their existing clubs is never easy as these clubs have a great structure and atmosphere just as we have but sometimes a change of scenery is good especially if you live close by. i probably sound a little hypocritical after my previous post but stiff.

Adelaide Villa was $200 last year including socks, shorts and rego. Was discounted but can't remember how much if you didn't need/want the shorts or polo though. Such a great club that I would have been happy to sit on the bench for the B's for the entire season for that much if things hadn't conspired otherwise.

At the Downs Im pretty sure it was $140 or $150 for the year.

Included SAASL regod fees, socks and a training shirt. Shorts and Strips are supplied each week then handed back for the club to was. They also get Club membership and cheaper prices at the bar.

Our changerooms has its own gym equipment and ie baths, plus we cover any medical (strapping, Ultra sound, metsal etc) of which we cover all of that as well.

One of our massiv expenses as a club is actually Lighting of all the pitches. When you have 4-5 mens teams and 2 Womens teams all training on Thursday nights, keeping the ball visible is hard work electricity wise.

At San Marco we payed $270 and for that we got to keep our playing strip, shorts, socks, jacket, beanie and for new players polo tops and also free entry into all Campbelltown's home games and IMO play on the one of the best pitches in the league

it wasnt just for one fine it covered a few, if they ran out they could not play until they payed up again. That is not going to be continued in 2010. Hopefully prices will drop.
