Yes but I guess the coaches believe it is better to have players that are playing in a higher quality comp weekly rather than kids who are not being tested in another competition.
There are some good players and teams at Salisbury too, and the comp goes for 18 weeks plus finals, how long does Campbelltown go for, 10 weeks ?

I just thought Campbelltown was considered the best place to play for all age levels.. or is that just for seniors?

nfi, I just know it is short and ends before Christmas, while St. Jays goes from outdoor season end to outdoor season start, with a short break for Christmas and the Nationals.

There would be weaker teams and players at Campbelltown too, but a 99-1 ratio ???

That's why I asked, I'm sure some FFSA Futsal heirachy would have a rough estimate of % of players from Campbelltown and Salisbury in the teams ???

I was at the U12 State Futsal training game last night and got talking to a parent from St Jays; she said that the comp at Cambelltown is a lot harder & more intense than St Jays.

At Campbelltown the referees were taking note of talented players and I beleive passing on names to the coaches.

There are several Zone players and a few State Squad players playing at St Jays in the U/12. I don't believe one got chosen. Surely one would be good enough to get in.

So the conclusion is that Campbelltown is the highest standard in all age groups for Futsal then?

How many Campbelltown teams played in the Futsal super cup this year?

I could be wrong with the name, I spoke to a parent of an U12 last night & her son definitely came from St Jays and is a field player (very good one at that).

Edit: just remembered, he's plays U11 at St Jays

I know, That wasn't my question though :)

My question was how many teams from Campbelltown played in the cup.

They played a Magill team in the final didn't they?

The ageing goes by the age the players are at the 31/12/09.

Are the 12s an A and a B side?

So it's different to outdoor

Whatever age you are as of 31/12/09, that's the age group, doesnt matter you are turning older in 2010 ??

Although it falls in the new year every year it is based on the age groups that the players have just finished playing outdoor. It wouldnt really change anything to do with the competition if it were age in 2010, except that everybody would be playing 1 age older then they are now i.e. 11s at nationals in canberra would play as 12s.

There were three teams in the super cup from the campbelltown comp, the 2 modbury teams and us were in the cup, we beat a team from the Magill comp. The other teams were pretty good though

We watched the final from last year between NSW Thunder & ACT Cobras. Some very good players to watch out for. Thunders starting 5 is the Futsalroos or thereabouts so will be tough to beat. Our last qualifying game against Victoria will be good.

The competition at St jays starts from Under 7 up to Under 14
There are some quality players there and 3 boys have been selected in the under 12 teams.
Another 3 players have started their futsal at St jays and are now regular in State selections.
Well done to all these players and Im sure there will be more players from the Northern area selected in the future.

Firstly well done to FFSA for sending teams in most boys age groups. One question, in the 12 boys, are the sides picked as 2 equal sides or an A side and a B side. Just wondering as NSW pick an A side (Thunder) and a B side (Lightning) and ACT pick an A side (Cobras) and a B side (Colts). In the 12s VIC also have an A side (Magic) and a B side (Rangers).

It would make more sense if they are an A and a B side as if they are equal it could jeopardise FFSA's chances of winning the competition.

Is it ALL about winning at this age group ?

I was told that in SA the teams are A and B team, also told that the our 12's have been put in the wrong groupings; hope it gets sorted before they play.
