I hear screaming eagles could be resting some players due to state team commitments.

Godley, Robertson and Negus all could miss the Eagles first hit out against the tast poons - due to the state team game against Miami FC on the tuesday before.
However, Ill be calling Joe Mullen to say that each player can only play a max of 45 mins.

The team to watch cantona would be the Eastern Park boys a bunch of footy players with some real talent for the real football.

Apparently the competition is wide open as The Surprise Package didn't get their entry in on time.

Eagles are struggling first week as Godley, Robertson and Negus are out becuase of state team obligations on the thurs night. Lack of commitment lads, may see you on the bench the following week.

Screaming Eagles have come out firing in round 1 with a comfortable 3-0 win and leaving the gaffer with some tough decisions to make for the next game with players returning. With goals from Brooksy and Krollig, Robbo, Godders & Nego's positions could be in jeopardy.

Good Performance by the boys. Special Mention to Saggsy in goal who played like a young, in form Bruce Grobelaar. Krollig took his two goals well. Ramsden Jonesy and Wado all in good form, and team captain Brooksy chipped in with a nice goal and some handy little touches.
The team lacked some defensive discipline, so Roberston returning from State team duty has no chance of playing in defense - but may get a gig up front alongside Godders.

By the way the downs team with Reevesy and T.Elliot look the team to beat at the minute.

Screaming Eagles and Bolthangers look the teams to beat at this very early stage.

It's looking like a good standard of competition this year across the board though.

I thought it was a great first night.

Some good new teams out there, and some very fast and skillful play.

Screaming Eagle and the Hangers are deffinately the teams to beat, but I think that there is certinly some room for some upsets, which should make for some good watching, specially with daylight savings and the warmer weather on its way.
Hopfully means more beer over the bar as well......

Any comments from any of the new teams about how they thought their first night went. Mainly in relation to the game: rules, play ect.
